Yes it's all in fun! However I would caution about making fun of someone else's airline! I think I remember a bunch of Delta, US Airways and United people totally tearing into the SouthWest folks about pay and retirement about 7 years ago!!! You don't hear one peep out of those folks anymore! Southwest 737 Captains making more the Delta 777 or US Airways 330 guys!

On the bottom one day, Top the next! Or visa versa!! Now look at the payrates!! Good Luck to us all!!

You're right, how can you take this seriously....Especially from a TSA washout who barely got past the Air Wisconsin hiring board, and only made it to awa because there was no college degree required and nobody really cared to work there. Besides, his "manly" side business is what really keeps him "happy.":bomb: ;) You know, someone like Wisky Driver!!!:D

I knew you had me confused with someone else as soon as you said TSA washout. Nope not me bro I had a 95+ avg on all written exams plus spent 8mos there prior to getting on with AWAC. Now as far as the hiring board I didn't know they had one! I interviewed with DEN CP or Asst CP can't remember which and HR person. Got a class a month later so you may have me on that as I can't say one way or another on a hiring board. Give me your address so I can send you my ERAU transcripts. Now you're just mad that you only went to a degree mill but hey, I ain't mad at ya;) . I like the fact that you were able to pull the wool over their eyes, you should teach others that trick:laugh: . Yeah my side business does keep me happy and financially happy at that. You know? the way pay benefits and a pension kept you happy at one time. Don't worry me and the rest of the uneducated USAirways pilot group wiill restore faith in the industry the way Dal use too...

Here's to your exit from BK and returen to profitability, seriously.

Seriously?? Wow, that is pretty bad for an international capt.

that has to be one of the funniest things you have EVER posted. Isn't AAA the airline who first terminated their pensions, without even a pilot vote??
How goes the lawsuit of the pilots who were robbed of their pensions by their MEC? You have to do better than this.......
Restoring the faith in the industry????Dude, we're in BK and paid better than you!
Keep dreaming, and keep em coming WD! You make for a good laugh!

Racist? Come on now. Nationalistic pride maybe? Yeah. This is all about national jobs. Used A340s do nothing for this country. Delta has orders for 777s, which is beneficial for everyone here. Senator Stevens of Alaska asked Doug Parker what kind of planes you have on order at the DL/US Commerce Hearing. Parker fumbled, trying to state that you had a mix, forgetting about all of the EMB-190s you currently have on order, and the A321s coming your way soon (you exercised 5 options recently).

As far as being threatened, this is all business. United projected they will make an extra $200 million in yearly revenue from the IAD--PEK route. We want more flights to Asia (we already go to NRT and will be starting Seoul (ICN) in May). We are making and effort to fly to Asia, and you guys haven't started anything at all. You used to go to Nagoya way back when, but that was trashed. You need to make more of an effort first before going for the big prize of China.

Your past arguments about Northwest flying A330s to Europe or Asia have little merrit, since NWA was awarded the Asia routes when they used to fly B-720s or 707s on them, and the European routes do not need our Gov't approval. Big difference here, and Boeing will be lobbying as well as DL for these routes.

Bye Bye--General Lee

European routes don't need gov't approval.
Dougie stutterd at the hearing, forgot we ALWAYS had both Boeings and Airbus.
NWA has been flying to Asia before I was born with 707's.
United was just awared a new IAD-PEK route.
Boeing builds planes in Seattle.
You spend too much time on this forum.

TELL ME SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW. You sound like your Mr. aviation talking to children. I mentioned that Northwest uses something other than a Boeing to fly their European routes, THAT'S IT. Not that it needed authority to do it. I know Boeing makes jobs for Americans, but you forgot to mention that those planes are build in several countries making jobs for more than just Americans. You also forgot to mention we have 8 more A330's on order with deliveries starting next year (I know about the 321's that were excercied thank you very much) You already have the 777's on order so it won't matter if you're not awarded the China route, you're still going to recieve the planes right? The Senator asking our fearless leader (other than female prisioners) about planes that we have had absolutely NOTHING to do with flying routes to China. You really should get on kids-who-like-airplanes forums cause you're not impressing anyone on here general.

No way, I have to justify my new Toro Ultra 235mph, 390cfm blower vac to my wife somehow. ;)

Besides, we may not have industry leading pay rates anymore, but our LTD aint bad.:D

GL has pointed out plenty of things you either didn't know, or chose to leave out. Your A330s could never make the China runs anyway, Northwest's do not. I think GL was trying to point out, to your dismay, that people in Congress actually think about where certain planes are built, and it does matter. That will probably factor into the government awarding routes, since Boeing will probably be whispering in Congress' ear. You were wrong about the USAir deal with DL, and GL was right. He is probably right about this too, and it frustrates you. It is obvious.

Hey troll, isn't it past your bed time!

I have to let a lot of your stuff slide cause you often get caught in the past or confused as to who I really work for. Now for clarifaction purposes, what went on at AAA prior to this merger is old news and reallyhas no bearing on our continued conversation. That was then and this is now. NOW the new Airways is one of the most profitable airlines out there. NOW we are working toward a contract that exceeds all with the exception of UPS,FED Ex which are in a class by themselves. NOW we are making plans to do more and fly to more places int'l then we ever did. NOW is far better than then at least for us it is...

US Airways would be using 340-500 for Short-Term! I am sure if they are awarded the asian flying they would be whipering in Boeings Ear about a order of 777 or 787's!
Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day!

Rome wasn't built in a day and most of the B777 wasn't built in the USA, just put together here. Kind of like a Honda. Speaking of Honda, Japan has a nice cushy agreement with Boeing.

Interesting paper. http://www.custac.buffalo.edu/docs/OccasionalPaper30.pdf

See Table 1 to start.

Ah Boeing, flying on "American-Made" wings.

Yea, I said the same thing awhile back and everyone freaked out on me! Don't get me wrong, Boeing is a good airplane but Airbus isn't half bad either! I know I would rather be a passager on a 319 or 320 then a Boeing 737 anyday.
