Its being reported in the Berkshire annual report that Netjets had a pre-tax profit of 143 million.

Its about time for flexjet pilots to come aboard the union of 1108 train. Dont allow your management to sell you they cant make it without you giving your subsidies. Better work rules and schedule await. www.ibt1108.com.

None the less congrats to all the hard working netjet pilots that are making this place what it is.....Number 1.

See this is what we were hearing. People had to lose their jobs to pay for pilot raises.
Also we heard No raises for the earth people at CMH because of pilot raises. Whats the truth? Will there be raises or no?
...Here is my prediction. 3rd quarter profits similar to the 2nd qtr will outpace losses in the 4th. 2006 will be a net profitable yr. 50 to 100 Million

And that's with the contract they weren't certain that they could afford.

I guess at least part of the credit for that profit goes to a productive workforce.

Don't mistake this as disrespectful to NJ, but: Have you looked at what NetJets charges their clients? If they couldn't make money at those client rates, I would be worried. Nothing against NetJets, but many of the NetJet-Setters could get the same product (safe transportation) with their local charter company, for 40% less than they pay NJ to do the job. Yes, some people need the NJ fleet flexibility. The good news is that rich america hasn't caught on to the fact they are getting ripped off in many instances by the big operators. ARGUS helps the cause convincing people to only fly NJ, Flex, etc. You guys deserve a big chuck of that profit, if it indeed is there. I hope the best for you guys - good luck!

yeah i'm sure the ebersol's were getting the same product of safe transportation when they charter a challenger
when that company then bid it out to another company
and that company bid it out to the doomed company.

you know what the best part of NJ is? The ability to say NO because i've got 2800 brothers and 400+ planes to back up my decision.

I used to say the same thing. And sometimes I don't know how we make money, with the ferry stuff. But as far as safety go's you are just flat wrong. You would not believe what we do and spend for training. Plus we fly with someone different every rotation and every person shows you something you did not know. Twenty three years in jets and being the DA of corporate and DO of 135 you would be hard pressed to find a better bunch of pilots. When I do contract in 450's or 550's, its always the same, "where did you learn that"
