How much more can they stretch that thing before it starts sagging in the middle?!
Just FYI. CRJ 900. Mesa is the only operator in this country. 86 seats
CRJ 705 is the same airframe with 75 seats for scope reasons.
Mesa 900s have the same wing as the 700. Exact same fuel capacity.
There is a different wing on some of the 705s that has more fuel capacity. You can tell by the winglet. The winglet is above and below the wing as opposed to just on top. I think the SkyWest 705s are like this but I am not sure.
The 86 seat version operated by Mesa could have the foreward lav and baggage closet removed and seats could be added. Not sure if the 100 seat version will be the same airframe but it will have that higher fuel capacity wing.
In other countries the CRJ 900 is operated with higher seating configurations than 86 and when it has that extended range wing it is called the 900X (Lufthansa express). I think that the CRJ 1000 is the same as the 900X with a different seating capacity but I am not sure.
