Its better than going to a regional in which a 12 year CA will fly it for $88 and a 4 year FO will fly it for $45.

You are exactly right! Plus, mainline flying them will help to reverse an alarming trend. I work at Skywest, and would rather Delta pilots fly them than us.

If they do go to Delta mainline they'll be flown by a 2-yr Captain for $88 bucks an hour or a new hire FO for $56.

DL payscale
EMB 195/Crj 900
Yr1=$89.18
Yr2=$89.85
Yr3=$90.58

CMR: Crj 700
Yr1=$69
Yr2=$72
Yr3=$74

What exactly do you find exciting about that?
1. The fact that you are clueless as usual
2. That it pays more than your miserable company
3. Growth at mainline means more job opportunities for the non lifers at the regionals!
4. (and most importantly....it pisses you off!)

Add to the fact that the most junior pilot on the property is on 6th year pay now..........$92.77/hr vs. cmr's $81/hr!

Back to Viagra and shuffleboard old man. Worry about your aarp benefits!

737

JetBlue and USAirways have some pretty regional jungle-jets as well.

Still wondering why JetBlue got pissed when I said that I had the JetBlue regional jet in site! :pimp:

They had the first unproffesional comment I'd ever heard JetBlue make on center!

What was it?

Boeing apparently has a home run on its hands with the 787 and will probably get on with a 737 replacement as soon as the majority of the Certification is completed on the 787.

Rumor has it they are already underway. It's called the Y1 or the 737RS(replacement study). The 787 was the Y2 and the Y3 is to replace the 777/747. I'd really like to see them. Part of the yellowstone project which I'd bet money will be using the new composit wing design of the 787. It's suppose to be 20% more efficient. These E/CRJ's will get their bums handed to them when they slap that on the 717.
