Maybe opening up training resources to take on the NWA flying. I still don't think SKYW should or will get the NWA flying but this could hint otherwise.

That statement carries more weight than most can imagine, should be announcements for some significant expansion and taking on aircraft from the DAL RFP was streaching things too thin.

So what does all of this mean for our company? It means that instead of shrinking like we had anticipated in 2007, we are now scheduled to grow, thanks to our dedication to improving operational performance and our ability to absorb additional aircraft into our operation from a staffing perspective. It means we’re not only growing our CRJ700 fleet by the eight additional aircraft that will fly out of CVG, but we will also be retaining eight CRJ700s that were scheduled to leave our fleet in 2007, resulting in a net increase of 16 CRJ700s in 2007.

Let me get this straight. An increase of 16, minus eight aircraft that never left, equals eight.

So, eight net airplanes. This must be pilot error.

Houston, err... uh... St George, we have a problem.

I sure hope it is not true... If SKYW gets the NWA flying, it will be because NWA management is wants to avoid another labor union. It is a management assault on unions. It is very clear that most pilot groups will continue to suffer hardships because of SKYW.

And ofcourse SKYW pilots will do nothing to stop it because for the moment they are benefiting imensly. Very disappointing on many levels.

They were taking 12

they got 4

we hold 8

plus 8 equals a net gain of 4

His numbers are misleading, in that he is talking about what we WOULD have lost in 2007 if things had gone as planned.

To bad we do't have anyone to fly them!

let the hiring begin again.

But Delta’s decision to reduce plans for CRJ700 flying in SLC means ASA will cease transfer of these aircraft to SkyWest Airlines by the end of 2006, allowing us to keep the remaining eight aircraft that were originally scheduled to transfer in 2007

YEAH RIGHT!!!!!

They just ran out of ways to scare us into thinking it would happen.

The cost to transfer to skywest was out weighing the benefit it had to try and get us to cave on a contract.

The Hot Springs contractor doing the C checks is WAY behind and losing money turning away other business .

so how is this different than Gojet? seems the same to me....and no i dont work there.....its just an observation

its seems everyone is eager to stick it to everyone else.......and then call names and assign fake blame....it seems standard in the regionals....I dont see any pilot group more guilty or innocent than another....and no im not bashing ASA.....but it seems that SKW can be awarded ALL the flying in the US , yet not get the same rap as Gojet...at least Gojet has a union now....do these guys as SKYW want it all?

I'm glad that ASA is getting the majority. They deserve it, although it still sucks for Comair. I had an ASA guy in my jumpseat the other day, 5+ years and had been downgraded. I hope this means he can re-upgrade soon. Good luck guys.

Skywest wasn't initially created to screw over an existing airline.
