Believe what ever makes you happy, sport. I didn't do squat to that thread.

Since you're so interested in my personal life - in the late 80s, I was in 10th grade happily drawing beautiful silverbirds that I hoped to fly one day. I can send you one if you like, I was quite the artist! Happy to say that I achieved my goal of flying for AA in early 2000, through my hard work and determination.

Unless you were hired at AA in the late 80s, I don't believe you were "on the property" quite yet - am I correct?

Happy holidays,

Dont want to get into the facts with you as you would not understand. The Carib, the slots, the transcons and on and on. You are truly a punk and perfectly represent the silver spoon spoiled little brat APA poster child. The Hitler Youth as we call it.
Get ready NW pilots this is the mentality of the group in which you may dance with. Goodluck

Now how do you know I'm a punk? You haven't even seen my hairstyle, much less the kind of music I like. "Sophisticated Italian stallion" is more like it.

Sure is easy getting a rise out of you. All I gotta do is state some facts from childhood, mention my hire date at AA, and bombs away. Heck, my 3 year old is harder to provoke!

BTW, Hitler's Youth is Eagle, dumba$$. Get your facts straight.

Super handsome APA patented ladies man

There has been discussion that the fifth freedom rights are moot with the advent of longer range acft that can bypass NRT.

That's not the point - fifth freedom is cabotage. It's NRT Asia interport flying to beach destinations and beyond that should be done by Japanese airlines. The Japanese hate it, and it is tied to NWA by law, not to anyone else. Remember about 7 years ago when all the other carriers tried to get it killed because they couldn't do it?

Yes, another corporation could get our routes to Asia, but not the coveted fifth freedom rights, which is a big part of the revenue of NWA's Asia network. NWA has 5 757's based in NRT dedicated to this flying, not to mention the 747-400's from Conus that are through flights to other parts of Asia.

My prediction of whomever merges/aquires OR is aquired by NWA, the corporate control will be called NWA.

It looks obvious that if AMR wants the Fifth Freedom Rights it is going to have to play ball with the NWA. AMR merge M.O. is going to have to change compared to its recent TWA past.

It will be interesting to see if AMR can step up to the plate and make the transition or become the little fish in the ocean with the big sharks (US/DAL, UAL/CAL, SWA).

AMR is at a turning point. Which way does it go?

Just because some partners are on the dance floor does not mean someone might not cut in and take someone elses partner. The talk of AMR/NWA is very premature, and the merger night is young......NWA is the prettiest gal on the dance floor, but her parents mortgaged her dowery....

aa73, that the attitude that going to make AMR the little carrier or part of another bad relationship because AMR doesn't know how to play nice.

Either way it bad for AMR. Maybe the TWA guys will finally feel better when they see AMR fall behind

OK, can you rephrase that in English please?

LOL! Seriously, I think he means... Uh, well, I don't know what the hell he means. ;) TC

P.S.--Find me a "good" merger in the last 20 years (other than Delta/Western) and maybe I'll be for an AA merger with someone else...

Hello Lucky,
AA-(1973) stands for his birthdate I am sure. A true aahole punk and poster child of the APA. He was in high school dreaming of being a pilot when his TWA counterparts were flying the world (on property). APA logic and morals made him senior in our merger and he displaced captains. Lets hope NWA leads the dance and you can right a wrong.

In the unlikely event of nwa buying aa as a mid seniortiy nwa pilot I will do everythinhg in my power(I am very active in the union)to get the twas and renos their doh and staple the nAAtives as that is their policy or at least fence them to the pos dc9-80s as the 76/77s are replaced with 787s. Fyi some/all jumpseats on nwa may not be available to nAAtives as a very disparageing cut and paste from the apa webboard was copied to our nwa board. AAers, while some capts want to deny all aas some are more rationale and will only deny the ones on the list but if anyone knows a LARRY MORALES 767FO MIA PLEASE TELL HIM/HER HE IS PESONA NON GRATA AT NWA AND TO SHOVE HIS KA-PLUNK SWINGLINE UP HIS ASS!

Get it through your thick bean buddy. TWA is dead. It was dead when it was acquired in the midst of its 3rd Bankruptcy.

OK. One more time. TWA was NOT in the "midst" of its third bankruptcy. The bankruptcy was a pre-packaged arrangement designed to allow AA to acquire the assets without having to deal with pesky "contracts" that AA did'nt want to assume. The whole arrangement was planned out months in advance, and TWA used its cash on hand to pay down debt prior to the acquisition unneccessarily. It also gave AA the chapter 1113 hammer that was later used against the rest of the industrys pilots.

If an AA/NW combo were to occur, I think there is a lot to the argument that NW would be the surviving certificate due to the fifth freedom rights. The NW pilots would have huge leverage, and plenty of support from the bottom of the list.

TWAers and Renoers what you think about forming an alpa alliance with doh for us and a staple (Ka-Klunk) for the nAAtives in the event of NWA aquireing the nAAzi ******************************s?

Sorry. What I meant to say was AMR's attitude is going to stunt its potential. AMR is either going to be small as a result of not merging or if AMR does merge it will need to work at being "fair and equitable" in the merge in order to get the benefit of the merge.

AA73 and others like him need to change their attitudes or their going to hurt AMR's future.

People run airlines. It is a service industry. If the people can not get along, the airline does not work regardless of the route network, type of aircraft, money in the bank, etc.
