Sent my resume to them and haven't heard anything, anyone know how long is usually takes them to get back with you?

It usually takes 1-3 weeks. If you meet the mins and some time has gone by then give them a call and ask bout your status.

BTW, why do you want to come to Eagle?

Bout to graduate from college and looking to get my foot into the industry and they are one of the higher paying, and sent our school a letter talking about hiring almost 600 pilots through sept. 07 since all mainline are getting called back. I do meet the mins 1150TT 148Multi

BC, send me a PM, I will personally walk your resume in to the chief pilots office, and you can also put my name down as a personal reference. Send me a PM with your contact info. I promise you will get the interview if you have over 1000/100

I wondered how long it would take for someone to offer this.

Very thoughtful and considerate I must say!

I was just wondering... I've long contemplated Eagle, and I have three questions: How hard is it to get MIA? how about LGA? and why is it that everybody says Eagle has a bad contract? I understand the qol is good. Also is there a training contract?

There is no training contract. If you want MIA you would have no problem getting it because no one seems to want the ATR(which is the only thing MIA has as a base there) send me your resume I will walk it in for you.

working the referal thing...money is money

Ok, good to know. MIA would be my first choice, and I'd prolly deal with an ATR just to be there. But just out of curiousity, what airplanes are based out of LGA, and how hard is it to get LGA? Also, what are reserve times like? I know about the long upgrade, and frankly I'm not as concerned with that as I am overall quality of life. So... how is it?

I'm sure it changes week to week but.... A friend interviewed at Eagle in November that lives in FLL. She expressed a great interest for flying the ATR in either MIA or SJU. HR told her in the interview that they are looking for people willing to take the ATR. She gets the job the next day, gives her two week notice, attends class two weeks later to finding out the entire class is all EMJ/CRJ and it'll be BOS, DFW, LGA and ORD. No turboprop!! So who knows if the "looking for TP pilots" statement is true.

Yes, you have to take what is offered in the class. My class had only EMBs and no TP's, but most classes usually do have a few ATRs.

And the only equipment offered at LGA is the EMB.

Not sure how true it is, but I have heard people actually requesting the ATR either before class or during the first day and they will make it available. Of course thats the only plane they will do that for. Again not sure how true it is. Eagle has a hard time keeping people in the ATR.

As far as LGA as long as you get the ERJ you can transfer, and there seems to always be vacancies for LGA.

Anyone know typical schedules out of MIA or SJU on the ATR? What are the trips like? Anyone have a list of destinations? Do people credit much time flying in those bases? Are reserves flying much? Sorry for all the questions.

I heard they are starting new hires at second year pay, it is that true?

No truth to that at all, do you think that ALPA would allow that? Starting pay at Eagle is 24.00 an hour regardless of the airplane, then second year it goes up a lot for the jet and a little for the TP.

Don't trust what HR say in the interview. One of us asked if the planned 300 new hires in 2006 for attrition or expansion. Without a blink of the eye, she said expansion.

In a way it may be true, they are in the process of pulling 32 saabs out of the desert. Also getting ready to exercise their options for 25 more CRJ 700's. But the new hires in 2006 did not even cover the amount of pilots that have left here.

Ok chief- before you mislead our readers here..two things:

1. the SAABS out of the desert are REPLACING the B+s that are being returned to the lessors. There is talk of a net growth of 10 SAABs but nothing has been committed to yet.

2. The company still has the ability via our scope clause to attain another 25 CRJ 700s. Though I'm sure the company would like to get them, AMR is very much in a "non growth" mood. I wouldn't plan on seeing any more aircraft for quite a while.

Bottom line, Eagle has a long upgrade and most of our attrition is from the bottom half of the senority list. With the AA recalls there will be some flowbacks leaving within the next year but upgrade at this point is still going to be fairly long.

Not being negative, just pointing out the facts. There is no expansion here at this time.

Thank you for typing that before I had to.
