I see SAPA sends you a letter notifying you of New Hire pay, Long Call reserve, 401k, and 700/900 pay. Funny on the timing of it all. I realize SkyWest hasn't implemented any of this, but it's about to happen I would guess. Congratulations on your hard earned pay raises.
What's so funny about the timing? The ALPA drive is over and SAPA's hands are no longer tied. Seems pretty logical to me. And perhaps since ALPA was voted down, SAPA has recieved a mandate and is hopefully stepping up.
Not to stir the pot or anything, but for what it's worth the implementation of those working condition improvements will be a lot more expeditious under SAPA than it would have been under ALPA (that is if they happened at all.) Once again, not union bashing, just making an observation.

But don't try and tell me it's because of anything you earned.
I don't recall doing so. And you may have a point about ASA for all I know. My point is that I personally had nothing to do with the ASA purchase and contract negotiations, and very little to do with the ALPA vote, and that I will take an increase from $19.25/hr almost any way I can get it. I'm just trying to make a living here.

Implementation, as if the SkyWest pilot group had anything to do with that. You didn't, SAPA didn't. It had everything to do with the Work Rules ASA negotiated and fought for. Had ASA taken a pay cut on the 700/900's pay rate, we would have been about in line with your 1% override. Nothing would have changed. You're Welcome.

New hire pay, for example, is due to change at the first of the year. I think with ALPA we'd have been lucky to see it a year from now.
Anyway, once again, not union bashing, just making an observation.

USC enjoy your 3:45 min day gurantee, higher 401k matching, and performance rewards. After all we had them way before you guys did. Your welcome.
Scabs !!!
We got those for us and we had them way before you. When our pilot group was worth a crap they got em for us.My point is if your gonna pull the coat tailing card then it goes both ways.
And who got those for you? I fought for my 3:45 min day, higher 401k, (didn't really want the perf. rewards, would've rather had higher definitive compensation), what did you fight for? Can your work rules change tomorrow? Mine can't. But your welcome for the raise.

SkyWest had better work rules than ASA, then ASA caught up to them, now SkyWest is being caught up to ASA and hopefully Pinnacle and Republic will one up them, isn't this the type of progressive bargaining we should all be excited about.

Except there's no bargaining taking place at SkyWest.
ASA didn't have these before you, true... but that is a stretch to say that it goes both ways. You wouldn't have had it if another union pilot group hadn't fought to get it at some point before you guys. Most everything you guys get is a result of someone else fighting for it. If you don't want a union, fine, that is your decision, but you guys are coat-tail-riders. At least admit that and go on about your business. We got those for us and we had them way before you. Of course if Skywest had voted in ALPA, it would be 3-5 years before there were any pay increases.... Instead they get them immediately.... and don't have to pay 1.95%....

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, touche!
at least somebody gets it!
I'll deliver my thank yous: Thank you capitalism! Thank you market economy! Thank you laws of supply and demand!
Here's a quick history lesson for all you young ones that think you have it all figured out.
In the 60'sand 70's Delta's non union employees and Easterns union employees went through the same thing. One upping each other for two decades. There is so much here that I could go into that transpired along with this. Just wanted to point out how history repeats itself.Consider the in result as well. And yes we could discuss the other contributing factors as they played out only in the end ie.(Lorenzo) but I often wonder if indeed anyone learns from our past!
