I'll post this here and in the charter forum, since we're a little bit of each.

Domiciles:
Effective January 1, our Tier 1 domiciles are as follows:

-Sacramento
-San Francisco Bay Area
-Los Angeles
-San Diego
-Phoenix
-Denver
-Chicago
-Atlanta
-Miami
-Dallas
-New York
-Washington DC
-Seattle

You need to live within 100 miles of your assigned city. Not sure if that's going to be based on distance to a specific airport, I'm sure more clarification will come out. As it is now, it's a safe assumption that most airports within 100 miles of the city will be considered part of that domicile. Tier 1 domiciles are eligible for either our new 8 on 6 off schedule or the 15 on 13 off schedule.

Tier 2 domiciles are only for the 15/13 schedule and will be considered on an individual basis. Basically, you'll need to live near an airport that has satisfactory airline service for it to be considered Tier 2.

Vacation:
8 days off per year for years 1-4
16 days off per year after year 5

Sick time:
5 days off per year.

Pay:
1st year PIC 90k
14 year PIC 145k
extra days are paid at 1.5 day rate, based on 205 (or 195) days per year.

(The pay scales are incredibly difficult to explain without looking at the tables. What they accomplish though are yearly raises based on annual reviews, and then even larger raises if certain company performance goals are met. If you are doing your job, you'll get a raise. If you're doing your job and the company has met its goals, then you'll get an even bigger raise. If the goal is not met, pay does NOT go down. I know, it's clear as mud, but that's what it is.)

I should add that SIC pay is 70% of PIC pay...

1st yr SIC = $63,000
14 yr SIC = $101,500

Pay goes up linearly from year 1 through year 14.

Well I'll admit I worded that pretty bad. What I was getting at was I heard they weren't interviewing that much until after the new year has past. So has anyone been called for an interview??? I know its a smaller company so not many people may even know about it.

There were 5 interviews held this week.

Things probably will be a little slow for the rest of the month, with the holidays and with Cessna not delivering airplanes on time.

Hi!

And with the worldwide shortage of sim time for popular aircraft.

i sent in an application in mid november, nothing yet.
i have 3500 total and about 1600 PIC turbine 1200 SIC turbine etc etc. I am hopeing to hear something in Jan.

ILG is part of the New York area domicile, which is a Tier 1 domicile...which means that either schedule is available (8/6 or 15/13).

I need to make a correction on the SIC pay...it's actually only 58% of PIC pay...you can do the math. The good news is that upgrades run less than a year if you've got a good attitude and pick up our procedures quickly and if you meet our PIC minimums. Sorry for the bad information.

Guys that get hired as street captains start off at 80% of PIC pay, then move to 90% after training, and are expected to be ready to go as PIC after just a few rotations, where they'll go to full PIC pay. Those that aren't ready at that point may move down to SIC pay. If you're hired under these circumstances, and you're ready to go quickly, it's entirely reasonable to be at full PIC pay in under 6 months.

Hi T-bone,

Thanks for all the good info. Any idea on how long it takes to get a call back and/or possible interview after submitting your app/resume?

How far out are they running classes after interview?

Thanks,

I'm not sure how long it takes from resume submission to interview to class date. What really helps though is an internal recommendation. That can put your application on the fast track...and when that happens interview to class date can be as quick as 1 month. Interviews were held last week to fill a Jan 2 class date. One new hire in that last class came with several internal recommendations, and was given the next available interview slot....which happened to be about a month out.

Hope that helps.

That does, thanks a lot, I appreciate it!

I don't think I know anyone there at the moment though. I heard about it from word of mouth from a buddy of mine I used to fly with at Pinnacle and he was applying and had heard about it in a similar way.

I imagine interviews are probably done for December with the holidays just a couple weeks away anyway...

Thanks again, and Merry Christmas / Happy Hannukah / Kwanza / whatever... :)

on the website it says the mins for PIC are 3500tt. Would that be the same for someone is hired as an FO looking to upgrade. I only have about 2100 tt and was wondering if the total time would hold me back from upgrading.

yes it will. 3500 are PIC minimums, whether you're a new hire or an upgrade. And having 3500 hours at your date of hire does not in anyway imply you're hired as a street captain.

In my opinion, it's not technical enough. Know your airplane, know 135 regs (if you haven't been flying 135, you wont' be expected to know them), think about challenging situations in the past (maintenance, weather, CRM, passengers, etc) and how you dealt with them and what you would have done differently or what you learned from it. Be prepared to brief an approach or departure. And of course, be prepared to answer the question "why should xojet hire you?"

That's the meat and potatoes of the process. You'll meet with 4-5 different pairs of interviewers, each lasting 20-30 minutes. Starts at 0900 and you should be done shortly after lunch.

Good luck!

Hi!

So it sounds like there's no sim check and no written tests?

Thanx!

Has anyone without an internal recommendation had an intervie within the last 4 months? If so, how long did it take from the time you applied until XOJet contacted you?

I sent in an application sometime in Nov. along with an internal LOR---haven’t heard a thing. On a good note, my buddy who works there can’t say enough good things about the pilot group and the management.

Hang in there guys. The head of pilot recruitment is having pretty major surgery tomorrow, so you won't be hearing much for the next couple of weeks.

Trust me, the hiring will continue. We used 20 crews the other day to keep our 15 airplanes moving. With 2 more deliveries expected before Christmas, we're going to have a difficult time staffing them for much more than 14 hours per day.

sounds promising. thanks for all the info tbone. although not having an interal rec i am going with the glass half full attitude. thanks again for the advice.
