Just because a guy holds captain on paper in 1 1/2 years doesn't make him a captain. It'll be 3-6 months before he's trained......PLUS there are 165 FO's senior to him. Many FO's are holding on the upgrade for QOL. The musics stopping here soon....hope you like your chair.
 
Senior fellas need to move on for bigger and better things.most of the lifers are in thier 30s. Why would you want to stay at xjet for 20-30 more years. Xjet may not even be around in in 20 years. I would move on. Just my opinion.

Nope, I don't think the job security at SWA is as good as everyone thinks it is. It's only a matter of time before those fuel hedges start to disappear and then they won't be turning a profit anymore. The only thing making SWA profitable this year is fuel hedging. Pretty soon they'll have to compete without that safety net.
