Raise, cost of living increase, UPS format of pay etc. etc. are all bogus. Latest supplied intel should sober up any of those thoughts.

I stand corrected. It now appears that we will not be getting a pay raise and moving towards a UPS payscale system. What was actually said was that some of us will be tossing boxes for UPS next year.

Let's see if the furloughs follow seniority this go around.

This is textbook Fred Greed. Fear mongering to get us to play his game. He's been at flex for what 2 months and the word furlough has already come out of his mouth. All we've been hearing for the last 2 years is how awesome we are and now that he is here; all we hear is how bad the situation looks and we should all feel lucky to have a job. Sure feels good to have some airline puke running us into the ground while he makes millions on our efficiencies. What was flex thinking when they hired this tool?

You guys are the masters of spreading the bad news around without the real facts.
Listen to the Top guy last quarter report!!.......
· They’re accelerating the retirement of aircraft that was supposed to be retired next year.
· Substantial fleet expansion plans for next year. All together with airplanes going away and new ones coming in still will show a net growth.
· Currently exploring International markets and looking very closely at the long haul aircraft (Global X)
· Challenger 300 fleet will continue to growth more and more since is the most wanted airplane by our owners.
· Many of our owners already signing up for the new Lear 85.

Soooo…………………………………
Furloughs? Possibly NOT if this all works fine! But this economy is terrible and the market is very tough now. Our new elected president (OBAMA) wants to raise taxes to people to makes more than $250.000 a year and this is clearly the kind of people we fly.
On the bright side FXJT is financially healthy and we have all the support from our BIG MAMA bombardier, which allow us to ride these difficult times.
My best advices to all of you is,… do your best job out there, lay low, and provides our owners with the best customer service possible.

Respectfully, you've either not listened to the latest 40 minute intel provided or are drinking some real strong coolade - or both. The "F" word is rampent right now, from management to office down to the guys providing "best in class" on the line. Company is financially healthy at the present time - but - flying has dropped significantly. The 40 minute info will provide information regarding fleet shrinkage and new a/c being deferred. The info is getting very consistant now - I don't think it's being put out there for nothing.

You sure about that? Did you watch the Video? It was stated that there was a net gain of three this year and there will be a loss next year. Otherwise how could be be overstaffed?

Smell that? its fear

Exploring int'l markets he did say but, he said it wouldn't be flexjet; it would be a merger of sorts. He was clear about this in his interview on ain. I think he was brought in to expand "bombardier" in international markets, not "flexjet". It's clear that a merger with someone at home or abroad is highly possible based on what I hear from the ain interview and knowing his past. Whether thats good or not we'll see in time. maybe 300pilot can chime in here with his thoughts.........

This thread was originally about bases. The mention of furlough has relieved the crew members from the focus of any other objective other than job security. People are already suggesting ways we can save our jobs on the company board, some even suggested concessions. Flexjet is still profitable. We still have owners waiting for delivery of their aircraft. This is the traditional slow time of the year. The holidays are approaching, and our owners will fly. Enjoy the slow times, they won't last. This rumor of furlough is primarily being generated by the crewmembers. We need to stop now. If you by into this type of leadership tactic, we will all be working more for less, in every aspect of our employed lives.

To the point and very true. This is what Fred is known for and why all Delta pilots just love him so much, now that he's gone.

I concur.
