why is mesa trying to hire 200 next month

It's agaginst TSA regulations to sleep in an A/c parked at a gate overnight. It they towed you to and FBO then that's fine but not on the airline ramp.

Really? Ugh! This SUCKS, if true.

Can you point me to an actual regulation? It would be nice to have . . . .

Might explain the recent change in company policy for 2-4 hour sits and hotels. Most of the podunk airports have airport security go home after we get in, so sleeping in the terminal isn't an option.

Is mesa giving higher pay to people who are working in HNL or are they making the same rates as the mainland? I couldn't imagine any employee being able to do the Go! airlines thing for more than a few months if they are not recieving premium pay.

Same rates.

I can't imagine flying overthere either, and believe me, I tried to justify it. (couldn't, too expensive) Most of the pilots/fa's going out there either have working spouses or friends/family in the area.
