Four recalls? That's a step in the right direction if so!

it's great that we are recalling..but, I am pissed that they're not going to put bids out for those challenger slots. For FO's that have been in the same equipment for 5 years that's total b.s! I'm just saying...

With a CBA, these would be recalls instead of interviews. Question, will the 4 be new hires or will they get credit for their prior service for pay, etc?

Good question. But the followup question is this: would it make any difference in the pilot's decision to return?

Hmmm, let's see;

1) I come back and with the pay increases already established, I am getting more than I left at.
2) I didn't contribute to the retirement while I was gone, the money is still there, so I just pick up where I left off.
3) With the retirements and people that left, my seniority number will be lower (higher?) than when I left. Of course, a lot fewer behind me.
4) Don't know about vacation, but they paid off all the unused time when I left, so not a deal anyway.

Yes,, I'll head back

If it wasn't a question........why is there a question mark at the end of the QUESTION? So yes on the question about this question I do know better. Doh......

My sentiments exactly. So how close are you to the top?

"At least four is better than nothing" was what you quoted. That is a statement, not a question...

He doesn't seem to be able to follow his own statements, Mr. doh. Anyways, 4 guys off the street is good....all that want to come back will be grand.

I don't see that happening. Why would the company pay for a new type rating for you and a new hire, instead of just paying for a new hire.

No need to get upset. I am within the top 4 and I am differing my class due to my current contract terms. You can have my slot for now. But I WILL be back for it!!...:)

FWIW I hear there are soon to be several left seat slots open too. A few voluntary, a few not so much... You're kidding yourself if you don't think they'll eventually find one willing to do their bidding. I feel sorry for anyone going through the TC next couple of weeks. I'd be wracked as hell just in case the trend continues if ya know what I mean.

Where did you get this information?

The in involuntaries are the guys with medical issues, the voluntaries are just ready to hang it up. They aren't out to hang anyone in the training department. Give it a rest already. Your momma didn't raise you to be such a f'n tool.

Heard from a Lear crew that you have to re-interview, sim ride, and take a psychiatric evaluation test to get re-hired.
And re-start as a new hire at year one.
any truth?
I thought you had re-call rights at Flex based on seniority and days of service......

Is Flex done for the year as far as re-hires? Looks like they got ten back for the busy season.
