Back to Top Median annual earnings of radiologic technologists were $48,170 in May 2006. The middle 50 percent earned between $39,840 and $57,940. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $32,750, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $68,920. Median annual earnings in the industries employing the largest numbers of radiologic technologists in 2006 were:If you are willing to drive 45min-1.5 hrs you can have a 200K home, you just gotta be willing to commute a bit. 80K in CA is still a lot of money. Just tossin down info.Your info was correct. You did fail to mention though that it was located in one of the most expensive places in the country to live. $80K in Santa Clara computes to about $50K most anywhere else. You were correct though with your numbers.
I agree, CA can be very expensive, but one must remember them rich folk don't like to mow their lawns nor police their own streets, they hires workin' folk to do that. Workin' folk will not commute 300 miles to mow a lawn of push a patrol car around town. Oh yes , on a final note most police depts have a retirement that most pilots would give their first born for. My local S/O has a state retirement, at age 50, 3% of your highest single year of W-2 wages, for each year of service beyond 10 years. Do 10 years, then your retirement pay is 30% of your highest single year, here that will approach 100K X 30% = 30K for 10 years of service. Do 20, 30 up to 90%.Your info was correct. just fyi, the 737 line is done in 2014, so there will be something new at swa someday. Rumor is 600+ hiring this year.
World is hiring both F/O's and CA's.
Atlas/Polar is hiring 747 F/O's.
Gemini is hiring F/O's.
Those are the only 121 gigs I know of who are looking for people, and there's a ton of Maxjet/EOS/ATA/Aloha pilots who are 737/757/DC-10/MD11 current applying as well, so it's a crap shoot.
Again, it came off willflyforfood.cc, just reposting what they had up there. Have no way of verifying the accuracy of any of their postings, sorry...Not true. World is hiring FO's and FE's, not Captains. World has a seniority system and a contract. There has been talk of hiring qualified and current Captains from Gemini to accommodate unplanned arrivals of MD-11's from Gemini. However, that would only be temporary until the training of MD-11 CA's via seniority catches up. Nothing will happen in regard to out of seniority hiring until a LOA and a vote.

What's the SWA hiring plan for when the hedges run out?
