dude, as much as we abhor Age 65...this bill passed both chambers UNANIMOUSLY. In this age of political rancor, do you really think the President will attempt a veto that can't possibly be upheld? this is a waste of time.

we need to figure out how to maneuver ourselves to mitigate the damage from this selfish, useless legislation ALPA stuck us with...not bail out the Titanic with a teaspoon.

Calling the White House is like trying to fix a burnt steak. Nice to see everyone politically involved.... but there is something called timing!!

yeah, sure, ALPA is the soloution to all our woes.

Posting on every single thread repeatedly does not guarantee you credibility, Rez.

What exactly is your game here? you subvert the majority opinion of pilots, bash those trying to effect change to our advantage (not Prater's), and generally suck up to the union. Classic definition of a stooge. Are you going to suddenly unmask yourself as the savior to all of us? Give me a break.

No one's buying what you're peddling. I'd rather buy some oceanfront property in Arizona from a telemarketer.

Don't bother. It's not gonna make a dime's worth of difference.

No kidding but if you don't say anything then you can't complain when it does not go your way. At least I said to veto it. I know it will not make a difference but at least I did something.

Red Dog, you've obviously been NTSing too much!!! Yeah, the pres is going to veto a unanimous descision by both the house and senate. That's like saying Lufthansa's going to buy a stake in an American carrier today or something...

Ok, if you want to "do something," send me $1,000 in the mail, and I'll spend it to make your life better. I guarantee you it will be more effective than calling the white house comment line.

To say nothing of the fact that the president is unlikely to veto a measure that merely puts an end to fifty years of blatant and unmitigated age discrimination.

Yes, because 60 is discrimination, but 65 is not. Stop trying to play the discrimination card. No one is buying it. This was unadulterated greed. Nothing more, nothing less.

Actually it isn't. Dare I say each pilot is the solution to each pilots problems... call it alpa call it whatever..the union is just a tool to solve problems... do you blame your tool box when you can't fix your car?

Posting on every single thread repeatedly does not guarantee you credibility, Rez.

Just note that I am not compalining rather calling for positve action.

What exactly is your game here? you subvert the majority opinion of pilots,

Correction... the majority of the minority...

bash those trying to effect change to our advantage (not Prater's),

bashing ones union and calling for recall is not effecting change.

and generally suck up to the union. Classic definition of a stooge. Are you going to suddenly unmask yourself as the savior to all of us? Give me a break.

As i said.... the solution to a pilots problem is the pilot. not alpa, not prater, not age 60, not FI and not me.

No one's buying what you're peddling. I'd rather buy some oceanfront property in Arizona from a telemarketer.

I am peddling that one take ownership of thier own problems. Participate in self government and democracy. Use cooler heads. Education. Information. Pragmatic thinking. Understanding. Empathy. Self reliance and responsibility.

But no one seems to like that... they just want to blame others...

Why do I care? Because a unions effectiveness is in consensus. While we are all fighting each other over "me me me" issues... our effectivness goes down. We can do better. We can disagree... but at the end of the day we have to have consensus.
