But wait, my favorite scene was of the Senate or House(not sure which) were being told to evacuate, and the one guy (I guess the presiding officer) reaches around the curtain to retrieve his bag! This is the same guy that will try to grab his bag during an a/c evacuation! What a moron!!

Kathy

What if the bag contained all his dirty secrets?

Not possible. By the time you make it to that point in politics, it takes SEVERAL bags to hold all of the dirty secrets.

this country is pathetic. what a bunch of weenies we've become! i'm surprised that we didn't send the prez down into his chamber 40 miles below the earth and nuke the entire country just in case....

Anybody ever watch the Simpsons? Ever see the episode where Sideshow Bob steals the Wright Flyer and tries to crash it into a building, but instead it bounces off? Why does this episode come to mind right now? Hmmm...lol.

HaHa, that was a classic; but so are most of Sideshow Bob's moments...

It occurred to me this is a good way for terrorists to flush out some soft targets from otherwise secure buildings. Do these people just run naked out into the street, or is there a secure outdoor location? I suspect I already know the answer...

The plane was registered to a Pennsylvania club, made up of people who fly from an airport in Lancaster County. A former club member said the plane was scheduled to be flown Wednesday by Jim Sheaffer and student pilot Troy Martin, who were supposed to take it to an air show in Lumberton, N.C.

Martin's wife confirmed that the two men left late Wednesday morning for Lumberton. She said her husband was talking to her Tuesday night about the "no-fly zones" along the way -- and "how they were going to avoid them."

I'm glad my name is'nt Jim Sheaffer, at least Troy can plead ignorance.

I'm just glad neither of those names look familiar! The minute I saw the headline, memories of all my boneheaded students came flooding back...

What really sucks is that these people are so God awful stupid to allow a panic to start over a small plane. People have just gone WAY overboard with this cr@p.

Is your memory really that short?

every time I hear about a small plane and an "intercept" I think of that show.

That was classic when the intercept planes couldn't go slow enough. LMFAO Especially a 152...better to just get out and walk...
