I agree that "Just Gary" stood up for us with crew rest, but he was a typical Mgmt hack also. We had a phone conference with him when he tried to get two crews to fly into a NOTAM'd out airfield. After basically drawing a line in the sand, he relented, although grudgingly, to the two crews.

I will say since the contract has been settled, he hasn't seem as "nutty" with the Gary Grams. This may be a case of the devil you know is better than the devil you don't.

notamd out field

.

Its interesting that dispatch would even release you to a notam'd out field ...How'd they get around that one??

If this is the story I think it is, there is much more to the story than that.

A conversation with the airport manager revealed that after repeated attempts to get the feds to remove the NOTAM, they had not. The airport was indeed open for normal ops, yet NOTAM'ed out for some runway MX that had been completed.

He was willing to go on record as to the airports safety in writing.

He wasnt fired or asked to resign. He quit!!!!!!!!!!!! The funny thing was he didn't even give any notice. He must of been pissed about somthing. I'm sure he had somthing else lined up!!!!

Hart Attacks

I'm already enjoying the lack of nonsensical "professional pace" CYA emails. :)

My one direct dealing with the man regarded unpaid overtime due to falsified records. He was hostile. I named him specifically in my ethics report to BH. Eventually, I won that grievance, but to my knowledge no investigation was ever done.

My friends from the old TA tell me of union busting activities performed by GH as they tried to organize.:angryfire

So long "friend".:puke:

Man, GH gets around more than Paris Hilton. He was at Ameriflight when I started there in 03. Put out so many memos I could have wallpapered a small house in just a few months. Also referred to himself as "Darth Vader" at one winter meeting, not sure what that was all about. Can't say I have a strong opinion of him either way, but why does he jump around so much? CEO's I can understand, but middle management (or whatever his title is) should be more stable I would think.

Hmmm...a few Gary haters here? I had him stand up for us a couple of times when scheiss hit the fan over perf issues or food denial.
