Did the FO what was in the AA crash in Little Rock ever go back to work? Anybody know what happened? Just curious.

I heard awhile back that he was a captain now on the MD-80. This wasn't exactly confirmed or anything, but that's what I've heard.
 
No he is not Capt. on the 80, he was hired in the 1998 hiring boom. He still flies for us as a FO on the MD80.

To add to what AAflyer said, the Co wanted to terminate him but Cecil intervened. His was a tough position to be in - fresh out of IOE flying with a chief pilot who was way too mission oriented. It took a lot of courage on his part to return to the line.

That is a true statement!. The guy we have as a VP of flight is a clown.

He has little time flying the line here at AA, he dresses and acts more like a banker. When our flight crews had flights cancelled due to storms a year back, he said "it didn't make business sense to pay protect the crews". This occured towards the end of the month leaving the crews with no ability to seek extra flying to make up the loss.

He complains about commuters at American, (we have a week commuter policy). He is under the impression that we should all move to our bases. However after accepting his new position which came with a nearly 1 million bonus he continues to live in DC, and commutes to work. A1 (space positive in first class), bumping revenue off along the way.

This is a leader who harasses us about sick leave, however he himself had been on long term sick and has not piloted an American Airlines Jet in YEARS!:rolleyes:

This Management wanna be thought as a special reward for doing well in recurrent, or performing on line we would be given pins and stickers (forget about a raise.) He thought that would improve moral.:eek:

Lastly he continues to show up at the end of Human Factors class to tell us how bad off AA is, and how we shouldn't expect raises, that we will be lucky to keep what we have.:puke:

He is not qualified, or even remotely able to handle his position.:blush:

Oh ya, we have had the most base chief pilots quit on under this moron than any other time in our company's history.:angryfire

I thought he was a clown. He was the one who opened up AA's hiring doors to the least qualified son's and daughters program. At least Kudwa had the balls to hire pilots on their resumes not on who their uncle was.

Actually it is funny you mentioned that. When I was interviewed, they sorted through my paperwork and asked if my mother or father worked here, they then asked "what branch of service are you in". I said none. One then joked, "how did you get this interview?"

Question for you aa'ers? Does he still hold a seniority number? At nw, the ******************************s that rise to that posistion usually last about 3 yrs before they come back to the line. My feeling is that we should have a time limit of 2 yrs (or whatever) for a pilot to go to the dark side and then they should have to make a decision between mgt or union pilot. At least at nw they have the best of both worlds. The protection of the union and the ability to go back to the line if they ******************** up or all the perks of mgt. So far in my 11 yrs I have seen 5 guys go the posistion with 3 going back to the line(with a very cold cockpit response) and one leave for spirit and the current one still sucking up to mgt.....
