It always amazes me when grown men can use little high school pet slurs when trying to describe something they don't agree with or don't understand. Bong, Dildo? really guys, it makes you sound stupid and does nothing to make your case.
Its because of human underwear crayons like you that Bond/Mcdildo was created. The beauty of the situation is as your senior SWA Capts, stay in their seats until stroking out, you will be swinging gear for a long time, enjoy it tool bag....
C'mon canyon, mccaskill isn't even the first last name in the amendment.
No disdain for Bond?
Ummm...yeah, whatever you say. You reverse the roles and have someone (SWA management) hold a gun to your head over non-integration and let's see how you fare. For the record, I did vote "No" to seniority corruption and captain seat theft (aka SIA #2). It amazes me how some of the OSW guys seem to think they were owed something out of this deal when all the AirTran pilots wanted was simply DOH and equal pay for equal work. If that was the case, then your fight should have been with GK to write you a check or something, or maybe reimburse for the type ratings you all bought. But instead, you take it out on your new fellow co-workers, thumb your noses down at them, steal their seniority and their CA seats thus bringing immense financial harm and loss of dignity. Such wonton moral and ethical disregard towards a fellow pilot will never be forgotton. The AAI pilots voted for this by a margin of 85%. Thus throwing Bond-McCaskill out the window.
You could have sent this to binding arbitration but elected not to.
All your group had to do was vote no.

DonVerita said:As for the quote you like to bring up about staple...one poster does not a majority opinion make. I know who that guy is and he is VERY junior. IOW, he had nothing to lose in terms of seniority.
DonVerita said:You and a few others on here can keep going with that arrogance and see where it gets you in the long term. Someday you are going to need the solidarity of the OAT (Original AirTran) pilots. Keep talking smack and see where that gets you.
Shall I quote PCL then Don?, bc we all know what he said before as well.
It's my tag line for the ages now....
And on this we can all agree with the exception being that you still can't seem to admit that it was an acquisition. But, that comes as no surprise to me or any other RSW pilot. That's interesting that you obviously have a problem with his quote. He was spot on in predicting that SWA would not play fair in a merger. Certainly you can't fault someone for saying they have nothing against SWA it's just not for them. It's actually a very mature perspective, the opposite of the whole childish "my airline can beat up your airline" crap that is so prevalent on this board.
when you finally come to the Southwest side of the list and you'll be pretty damn miserable here. Should make for some real fun four days.
Sorry, I haven't been paying close enough attention. You're just another no skin in the game &hit &tirring tool like General Lee and OYS.Must be that Warrior Spirit!
BTW, I'm not AirTran. I get to watch from the sidelines. I happen to find the merger soap operas that arise out of mergers as educational should the slim chance I am ever stuck in one.
Success at last! At least you're finally calling it an acquisition!. On that last point we will agree. A lot of goodwill has been burned by the brain trust in the head shed to purchase an airline we didn't need with planes we obviously didn't want and pilots we don't have room for. Minus 1800 or so you've got 6000 pilots pissed at the way it went down on the RSW side and minus 500 or so you've got 1800 that are pissed at the way it went down on the ASW pilot side. Do the math and let me know who has the majority?Bottom line is, an airline can't acquire another airline in a hostile manner and expect to reap the benefits of that acquisition as if they didn't.
I get it.

Seriously, you actually believed you deserved date of hire and our contract rates? You're either really stupid and without perspective, or a total naive sucker.
Either way, it's long over and stop boring us
I think the word you want is "exclusivity" but I'm sure you consider it shows more "maturity and intelligence" dicking it up while you're failing to make some point. It amazes me that on a board that is for people from the entire industry that anyone could get on here and think they should be able to post with some sort of exclusively about their airline and if someone comes in with an observation from a different point of view, that person has the audacity to somehow think it's none of their business. Hello? This is a board for everyone, not just SWA. It's a good thing to hear what others think coming from a different POV. You can eaither keep an open mind or bury your head in the sand.
I've always considered that we were all (airline pilots) in the same boat together. And, that we were all trying to achieve the same goal. I never considered my brethren at OAL's my rivals and there definitely was not a competitive factor since we don't have teams and play each other on others teams.[/QUOTE
On that we can agree! Elsewhere you did make a point about the DAL pilots you have met are nothing like the DAL pilots on here. I can say the same about the SWA pilots. We used to layover at the Monarch in PDX, met a lot of very nice SWA crews. So it's really just Flt Info banter for lack of a better term. On here the SWA Folks have pretty much flooded the site with why everything SWA is superior and ALPA sucks etc. without a very good perspective on the rest of the industry or it's history. That said, I work for Hawaiian, that's why I have such an active interest in the airlines merging strings (although I am fairly confident we will survive alone, you never know in this business) You don't see me bashing Lubbock and I recently made the observation that there are plenty of legacy airline pilots that bought Flt Engineer ratings to get an interview, you might want to throw that one out on your other string! My take is we both have very good jobs and so do the DAL pilots, I don't need to put down one or the other to defend mine.
Btw, SWA's "warrior spirit" mantra comes across as completely going against the grain of us all being airline pilots in the same boat and not competitors's, that why I single that out so much.

Stimulating!Dan, his head isn't buried in the sand...it's stuck in a completely different place.![]()
I think you fit the profile perfectly. That doesn't mean that there aren't the usual tools that have to stick their nose in other peoples business and try to chime in on anything and everything even when it doesn't have squat to do with them. Instead it just highlights how small, petty and narrow their pathetic little lives really are
