oh no. not another "crabby fa" bashing. yawn zzzzzzz........

BFD. like this is something new.

cant deal with a fa who isnt in the best of moods , then take a bus or train!

This is why the Legacy Carriers, in part, have poor service. You just told your revenue to take a hike. The passengers who provide revenue, which is converted to your paycheck, get to choose...another carrier.

This is my arguement, 20 something FA's aren't jadded, they can have a bad day and filter it out better. They have a fresh outlook on life. Sure it is a generalization, but so are 20 something Hooters girls, as opposed to 50 something Hooters girls. Age might have something to do with it.

But lets be fair, the Legacy culture, heavily influenced by management has alot to do with it.

"The passengers are the enemy"- UAL FA on Letterman who quickly became an ex-UAL FA. (what happened to her BTW?)

Actually, I was hoping you'd spare us your bitter attitude when I fly on your airline. Obviously, you don't expect you to do that, rather you expect your passengers to deal with your attitude!

Now it is two FA's. And when I think of the other cantankerous Legacy FA's I've delt with while jumpseating and DH'ing there is alot more. And your attitude coincides, with your spin of melodramatics, if every FA like you justifies their bad attitude with "like one person being told to take a train or bus is gonna hurt an airline!" you guys will be better organized than ALPA and you won't even know it.

Again, most of it has to do with Legacy management attitude and culture, it filters down...

Then again, there is Free Will.

I think Gorilla nailed it. Everyone on board is willing to go out of their way for a pax paying a premium (or even a reasonable) fare. But so many of the travellers these days paid nickels for the tik, show up in jammies, expect 4 star service, and then act condescending and irritated when they don't get it.

Cheap fares are good for the public. But when you pay cattle car fares, expect to get treated like cattle. Don't ask for more. Everyone should be polite, including the pax!

I like boxes....

Every FA should be under 30, under size 6, and under 120 lbs.

Speaking of FAs, where is GADawgsGirl?

I don't need saving, I sit by the window emergency exit row and would have no problem getting myself and others out. As far as judging the FAs, nope, not there to do that, but it is funny how an otherwise unmemorable trip is now etched in my mind cause of the bad attitudes of three. Guess they just had better things to do on a Sunday night, then take care of their customers on a 1/3 full A319.

I didn't criticize their looks by the way, just their attitudes. Yes I'm all grown up and I think it would be more like the inside cover of GQ. Remember customer service girls and boys! Just like the stories of pilots ordering pizza and McD's for passengers after a delay or divert.

Don't go confusing the "Safety Professionals" with the facts, now:rolleyes:

Sorry magnum... got to disagree.....

There are plenty of people flying the LCC's, paying dirt for tickets and getting great service....

Next time you are on the "glamorous" side of the airport, do an casual poll. Ask ten paying passengers if they expect or would even like thier FAs to have a positive attitude.

Now, I'll defer to the King of Kings.... SWA. They do both... sell cheap tickets and offer great service. They've made money for 30 years....

Look- people are a reflection of their environement and culture. Sometime embarrassingly so.....

The Legacy Carrier FA's have alot to be bitter about.... but how do you justify treating another human being poorly, when all they did was buy a ticket on an airline?

I like boxes too, they don't complain...but you know what...they don't say thank you either....

I hate to disagree, many of the legacy carriers have been recieving "best of" awards lately for incredible service.

Seinfeld - Are you for real???? If that's the case, all pilots should be handsome, fit and wear normal, non-dork clothes on layovers. But that isn't happening either. What is the deal with how you people dress? Scary!

LMAO. I could not agree more. Many old dudes dress like, well, old dudes. BTW, all the handsome pilots are flying night freight at UPS!!

I'd still pay to see an FA throw a 12/15man life raft out an emergency exit$$$$
