Care to explain further?
Are they not using company phone lines to call the pilots?
I was one that they called. I always screen ANY call that comes in with a 859 or 513 number. If it's not programmed, I'm not answering.
They were all hang ups, no messages left on voicemail.
I know of a female FO who was living with a scheduler for a short time. That scheduler would use her cell phone to call her roomate, knowing it was her day off and try to JM her.
That's a scum bag move.
Using some other person's phone means it is not taped. I would just say "Go FXXX yourself." It's your word against their's. Or just start saying "Hello? Hellllo? Hello? Must be a bad connection?" There is no proof on their end. And then I would go throw a pile of sh$# in your roomate's room, and say "give it to your boyfriend....."
Bye Bye--General Lee

You see on Epic, how they gave directions on how to look up open time in 2009?Tell them to call one of the furloughs. They might be more interested in working on a day off right now.....

I don't see how anybody can EVER get j/m'd.
I've never been called yet, but I have the perfect answer in mind.
"Oh, sorry Mr. Scheduler, I've just taken my first sip of beer. If you'd have called me 10 seconds ago it would have been all good, so sorry... try me again tomorrow". Not a god damn thing they can say to you except "well then good day to you, sir".
Yeah, I tried that once in my Comair days. They transferred me to the CP who told me to stop drinking and report in exactly twelve hours.
I recently flew with a captain who was complaining that CS has been "hiding" open time again, and he was trying to pick up as much as possible before the Holidays.I've seen at other airlines where people pick up open time with brothers and sisters on furlough. I can say I haven't seen that here and certainly hope not to.
I agree. I never answer the phone if the above happens. CS has gotten desperate lately. Its pretty simple. Never answer your phone if its a number you don't know. I never answer calls that are "blocked," "unknown," or any number not saved in my phonebook. If its something important, they will leave a message. If its scheduling, don't call back.
