Top o' the Marlin to ya

Nice to see Snapper and Z in Corpus a few months ago (almost a year now). It was refreshing to see that Hal still has the touch with scrolling through a word document on the big screen projector.

Drop a line if anyone still checks the threads!

Deez,

Whats up? So are heading out to a big gray ship?

Top O the marlin....thats about as classic as Toe knee asp.

Hey Freaks!

Amazing I remember my user name and password...only took me 3 years to remember it! Anyone still logged on as a user around here! Drop me a line!

PEACE!

Any of you guys know Mike Supko? Friend of mine from my Whidbey Days, single anchor VP-40 type.
Anyone interested in Cathay Pacific drop me a line. Great company, hiring like mad.

Supko....

Last thing that I recall was that he was headed towards the Naval Academy to be a Company Commander. Not a boat school grad so dont know if the Co Cdr thing is 100% accurate.

Cathay....how about UPS?

Got nothing for them. Had my resume' walked in and never heard a thing. Very happy with Cathay though.

Marlin Sightings

Just an FYI, I ran into Supko while he was going through refresher training in Jax. I also saw Grandpa, who hasn't changed a bit. The best story, though, is Ron Rumfelt in the pilot seat. Man, can that guy do a rack walk-through...

Jim Richards sighting

Just wanted to pass along that I ran into Jim Richards at VP-69 in Whidbey Island. He's been there for a while and doing great. I'm not sure, but think he's currently flying for Southwest.

Smithers....

JR is actually with jetBlue. I have an e-mail and phone number he gave me a little while back I can PM you.

Fluffer Z,

Thanks for the gouge! It looks like from your previous posting that your are pulling the cord. Got plans? Or you gonna jump in the BMW and look for the ladiezzzzz? Sounds solid brother!

Things moving along here in VA BCH. I am here at least until 2008. So going no where fast. Difficult to improve my log book flying only two times a week at a 1.0 or 1.2. Kinda hurts. Oh well....

Take care Diamond!

Inigo-san in the house. Had whips with D Long last week in the ATL. Him and I work for the same company.
Hope everyone is doing well, make sure to throw congrats out to Lucky next time you see him.

Peace

TC/BMW checking in. Good to see everyone is doing well. I'll be pulling chocks in about 8 months and wanted to see how the pilots were fairing on the outside. Who's working where, if at all? What about reserve possibilities? Any info will be helpful.

Cathay Pacific is hiring like mad. With as many hours as you guys get, no problem.

Great Moola, city, and 744 is way more like a P-3 then a Prowler.

There basing me out of LAX, thus I'm going to live in San Dog. I'm also in the reserves with VT-22 in Kingsville.

Sorry, not a VP-40 guy, but had many P-3 buddies back in Whidbey. Hope you guys don't mind me crasing your party (thread).

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to avoid the double commute. Have you had any problems with the commute from San Diego to Kingsville?

Bueller...Bueller....Bueller

Thought I'd revive this thing one more time to see how / what everyone is doing...

Jumped ....ship so to speak

Smithers,

Out of the Navy, starting over again in the civilian world. Aint so bad on the other side except for the paycheck.

99,

Anyone out there heard from Richards and BVK?

Smithers!! Man, I swear I was just talking about you. Saw someone who looked like you in A-Town and said to Jill, I wonder what Weylin's doing??

Can't believe I haven't been checking this thread, I'd have responded to you long ago. Anyway, since it's (very) fresh in my mind, here's the big JR-BVK(R) news... we're now sporting a Connor. Connor Kempen Richards, born this morning (yes, this morning!) to a very tired Jill. Our first. We're hoping he has my looks and her temperament. Wait, scratch that, reverse it.

If you're on our mass email list you'll get the official email with pics forthwith, rightly. Just happened I jumped on here first when I saw the email that said that there was a new msg. from DiamondZ. Hope all's well!

(yes, flying for JB. And digging it)

Igor, checking in!

Stumbled across this forum via Google. Couldn't stop reading the posts (and laughing) while at work...Hey, PowerPoint can wait, right?

I landed back in the NW last year, after getting out of the Navy in 2002 and working inside the Beltway for a couple of years. Been working P-8A for Boeing most of that time, and lovin' every minute of it!

Evil Bob (currently VP-40 OPSO) sent me a list of VP-40 alums he knew of recently. Happy to share if anyone is curious.

I am currentl flying cargo on Metroliners and Saab 340 out of MIA. I Have heard alot of good things about you all. Let me know whats up!!!

Jay

Hello Jay, I know of an SS1 and an FE becoming pilots. With you covering the SS3 position and me covering the aircrew ordnanceman position, we just need an IFT. I'm in the right seat of the Airbus A300 at FedEx. I could have held Captain of the Boeing 727 but I would have been the junior guy. Let me know if you need help getting to FedEx. My home email is [email protected].

Currently bored and figured I would jump on to say hello and see who else comes out from the shadows. Diamond- Thanks for the "roll-call", hope all is well; where are you, etc.? I see Smithers every once in a while, and just MAY take his job for a follow on. (or I MAY finish my DH tour and do my, get this, "joint tour", yikes--at least it isnt a night trap in a thunderstorm, right?) Mr Loan!! Good to see you! I imagine FEDEX is going well with plenty of Marlin support these days. heck, I may call you in 3-5 (No, not THAT kind of time). O.B. is that REALLY you? My SS3 from Afghanistan? Well, well, you have come a long way from checking in with "RedCrown". Good work! OK, good to hear from people and hope more respond. I am off to make sure my two, yes TWO, daughters are still sleeping.

Hey Guys!!!

Mr. Loan..wow.. how are you doing!! I remeber you from Misawa. I am not sure if you remember me ...AW2 O'Bryant. I had to break out the cruise book to make sure that you were the right person I had in mind! I am glad to see that you retired and got a job with FedEx. I worked at the MIA Ramp (FDX) for a little while and that is how I got the job I have now. I will email you so we can stay in touch

Lusty..Whats up man!!! I am glad to see that you are doing good. How is it flying F-18s??? Im doing okay these days just trying to build some PIC time so I can move on. It feels great to finally be flying instead of going for a ride!! How much longer do you have left in the Navy??

Later

Jay

Inigo Moving

Hey all,
After a couple of years in the great state of Colorado, the Montoya family is relocating to Atlanta. While we are sad to leave CO, we are happy in that we will be near more friends and family in Atlanta.
My job has me traveling over most of the US but I will now concentrate on the area between Texas and DC, to include all of SEC country, that doesn't suck.
Hope everyone is well.
