No, it is called debate. I gave you my thinking on why some of your hubs would be unlikely for service to China, due to hub constraints, other cities nearby already having service, etc. I also gave a great reason why ATL should and will have it, since it is the busiest hub in the World with great connections. If you can't answer my question with solid answers, just state that. Many people cannot. I don't think Doug Parker could answer my question either, since he is probably busy right now with other issues. I can understand why he threw your airline in the ring for those slots though, because some slight chance is better than no chance. Just like the bid for Delta...

Bye Bye--General Lee

Don't get your panties in a wad General I did answer your question. PHX was the original hub we heard but LAS could also be the one. MAJOR tourist city LAS much more so than hotlanta!! Now when the Chinese com to america, I am sure that A town is on the top of their list. Now it NYC, LAX and that's right what General Las Vegas!

Now the merger deal is over and you guys are still several miles behind enemy lines when it come to a future of the carrier. I do wish you all the best and hope that DAL can survive this. An airline of that size with only 2 billion worth of exit funds?? That alone should scare you as you burned thru a billion last year alone.

WD.

Once again, good luck with your international expansion plans. I believe AWA tried it once before. I hope it works out better for you this time. Perhaps you'll have a shot at a China route next go round when then A340s are on your certificate.

Thank you,

quick history lesson. AWA was doing the runs to Japan and that would have survived had it not been for the Gulf war. The Japanese have a rule of not riding on a carrier whose country is engaged in war and this sunk the route and ultimatly led to BK. Now this is what we were told during my new hire orentation. Check it out and see what you can find.

Just wondering how much the combined 3 trips into BK cost US Airways?

LAS is a major tourist city. Why, I don't know. ATL is one of the strongest business centers in the U.S. Many major corporations are in ATL. I have a friend who works for The Home Depot in supply chain management and she travels to China about once a quarter. They desperately want direct service from ATL as does Coca Cola. A LAS type city is currently being built in Hong Kong I believe and the Chinese can play slots there rather than travel halfway across the world to sit next to the fat trailer trash that kicks it in LAS on the weekends. What a disgusting place.

That's something you would really have to ask the east side folks as it was twice over there and once here in the west. We are out of the woods as far as that is concerned and proving that we have a solid business plan.

LAS is a little more than gaming, many come for the shows as well not to mention only an hour away from LAX not the 4hrplus flight from A town. As for it being disgusting, that's a personal preference however the millions that travel there every year would tend to disagree with you. In terms of a business center Atown is the winner but when tourisim is the key LAS is the answer to the question. 1hr from LAX 1hr from SFO and for company purposes 1 hr from PHX!! I think this is really going to get interesting.

Man, you are way underestimating ATL and tourism. Don't forget, we have "The Big Chicken"! Both cities would do China well for different reasons. You pilots need to focus on big raises so we have something to shoot for in a few years.

Ok blood, you got me on that on, I need to sit down before I ask. What the hell is the big chicken?? I love Atown myself, and you are correct both locations could do pretty well for different reasons.

You truly live a sheltered life. The Big Chicken sits atop the KFC in Marietta. Its huge and the beak moves. It is always referenced when giving directions anywhere in the Marietta area. Just imagine the photo opportunities for the Chinese! Its up there in significance with the great wall.

Ok, but I'm asking YOU WD, How much did you guys lose during your COMBINED 3 TRIPS. AWA had 1 trip, and how much money did they lose?
I guess you forgot about that ATSB loan that saved awa from liquidation?

Is part of that "solid business plan" putting together a hasty request to the doj to fly to china with equipment you don't even have, pilots not trained, and asking them to defer another airlines already filed application?
Come on WD, I think you're smarter than that! Well maybe not!

Didn't AWA use to fly in Australia? Come thinking about it, quite a few of their pilots are on the "scab list"?

$2.5B was all we needed, we didn't have to borrow much in BK, so we didn't have to borrow much to exit.

That alone should scare you as you burned thru a billion last year alone.

Cash flow has been good, most of those losses are restructuring costs like the $2.1B DALPA claim, or $2B write off for ASA/CMR. It's not an actual cash drain. In the case of us pilots we'll only see 60-80 cents on the dollar and none of it coming out of DAL's cash position. Liquidity is looking good. Thanks for your concern.

No I didn't forget about the atsb loans and no we were not liquidating at that point. Look at AWA like chrysler corp. It did what it had to and now it's one of the strongest carriers in the game!!!!

Come on WD, I think you're smarter than that! Well maybe not! First off don't hate the player hate the game!! Now like i've said several time before the a/c are not a problem A340's from air Canada difference training for A330 pilots and short course for the other airbus pilots. This is all business and nothing more, I understand that you're upset but get over it bro it ain't all about you... Big money game big money moves.

Wiskey good to see you're having fun still with the Delta guys. I can only stand small doses of their brilliance. Thank goodness I won't be flying with them. I could just imagine the cockpit talk. HP-so what do you think about Barack Obama? 737 Plt-He's one of them thar terrorists isn't he. I hates em. O what joys that would have been.

I imagine the cactus cockpit talk goes something like this:
Hpilot:"well, my boyfriend and I couldn't decide on whether to go with pink satin, or baby blue curtains."
Pxhflyr: "I don't worry about curtains, my boyfriend and I are exhibitionists!"
Hpilot: I hear ya, do ya wanna hold hands again, there's bad weather ahead.
Phxflyr: No, just give me a hug!

That's my wife. It's on purpose that all our features are indiscernable; too many people like you around.

Why did you even respond to that non sense?

Based on his "alternative lifestyle" I wouldn't bet he'd like to try, but I don't date pilots!
