Friend of mine who is a West Furloghee said, they sent letters to all of the West furloughed pilots for E190 PHL for 11-15 Class. He is hoping there is no seat lock on 190, but if there is one he'll probably wait for the West.

Talked to PHX chief pilot last friday, told me that in addition to losing your seniortiy by going east, you will also be locked in PHL for 18-24 months. He said it wasn't an aircraft seatlock, used some other term. Has to do with flip flopping between lists. Basically if you switch lists you are basically a new employee is what I was told. A little birdie also told me they are planning west classes in jan/feb time frame.

I'm not sure about that. There are 3 lists. An East list, a West list, and a New Hire list.

If you were a US Airways new hire, you are on the third list. The company just assigned people to wherever the need was. I know for a fact guys that lived out West were assigned to the East side and vise versa.

Getting recalled to the East side should have no effect on your releative seniority. Pilots are the third list will be on the bottom of the new list when the seniority dispute is settled.

This will actually be a good deal for someone who wants to be out East and was assigned out West when they were first hired.

There is a 12 month training lock on the E190 and you still can bypass with no harm or foul. I really believe a recalled pilot will be able to get a group II after a year, possibly sooner.

New hires are just around the corner.

Finaly some good news. Good luck to all who want to return.

from what I can see in catcrew, someone I know that was in the last east class hired (meaning they were w/in 10 of the bottom east furloughs) is on option 63 in crewtrac for Dec2010 as an E190 FO. I have not talked to this person but I assume they are in the 10/25 recall class.

With this info I would guess they got to the bottom of the east list and are making their way back up for any bypassers or are going to offer west guys an east class or combination.

The most junior person in the 10/25 class is 17 numbers from the bottom of the east list. In other words, there are still 16 people who haven't been offered a class yet. We're waiting to hear about November.

Trog is correct. Something is not correct about what you saw/interpreted, Lear.

Just talked to a west buddy who confirmed that some west guys have received the in-range letter for the November 15 PHL 190 class.

I just confirmed with chief pilots office letters went out to all west pilots for PHL 190. They aren't expecting many to take it except for the third listers. 18 month lock in PHL is what I was told and they won't let the transfers out of it. Still trying to fill the 11/15 class and there maybe 1-2 spots for the class on monday(short notice). There are future classes planned maybe december and january is what they said. Take it for what its worth. All in all pretty good news!!

Well, that is yet more BS treatment for the pure West furloughees IMO. They have gotten the smelly end of the stick from the beginning. I can't believe they can't honor their longevity.

It doesn't really matter on the E-190 anyway. The humiliating pay rates on that don't increase from embarrassing to respectable at any year of service.

It is very good news for those that want to be based on the "right' coast, though.

West furloughs come back at same longevity to East or West. They just would be treated as new hires for seniority purposes. Until the Nic is implemented that is.

Still trying to fill the 11/15 class

From all indications I have, mostly based on the words from Crew Planning, they haven't even started on filling this class.
