In my case, I'm trying to chase the money! BIGGG pay-cut for me...4th year pay on the 320 is $73/hr. 3rd year its $62!!! OUCH!!!!
I thought that when someone gets recalled from a furlough he/she retains the longevity pay, so no one at USAirways should be getting recalled to a 3rd or a 4th year pay rate, correct?

Let’s say a 1999 “new-hire” gets recalled today - he/she would be going directly to the 8-year pay scale, correct? So maybe going back wouldn’t be so hard economically after all? I probably got it all wrong...

Yeah, you did get it all wrong!! You do not acrue longevity on furlough! I believe the Mid Atlantic guys/gals are the only ones that will take their longevity time spent with them if they return!
IMHO, going back is not always about the $$$.

Wow, sorry didn't realize that...

Us 1999 hires contributed nothing to the company. We were simply temps -- sent by the agency -- weekend and holiday help -- to fill the Airbus training float.

MDA guys get nothing for time served. Nothing. AAA ALPA filed a grievance May 18th over the issue. Company denied the grievance. It will now go through the arbitration process. Should have a answer in 3-4 years.
