Supposedly this is what our Joint Negotiating Committee presented to management. The sad thing, IMHO, is that this is our idea of really reaching for the moon as our own negotiator said in an email that it's important not to 'fall in love with your opener.' Our own proposal would have our top A-330 captains making less than SWA 737 captains. Our 12 year 737 captains would be at 2nd year SWA captain rates. We don't even have the balls to ask for their wages not to mention the willingness to fight for them.....

The proposed top Group 2 rates ($181.50) are10% higher than Group 3. Group 1 rates ($192.39) are 6% above Group 2. The proposal includes 5% increases in 2008 and 2009. We have verified the $165 base through numerous sources and are confident in its accuracy.

Four pay groups:
Group 1: A330-300
Group 2: B767-200, B757-200, A321
Group 3: B737, A319, A320
Group 4: E190 (rates per TA or as re-negotiated)

All pay rates are based on years of active service (longevity). There is an International override included, in the traditional ALPA 3% range. The Group 4 E190 rates are to be determined.

CA GROUP 3 RATES FO GROUP 3 RATES:

2 134.82 67.41
3 137.57 74.29
4 140.38 81.42
5 143.24 88.81
6 146.16 91.64
7 149.15 94.34
8 152.19 97.10
9 155.30 99.93
10 158.47 102.82
11 161.70 105.83
12 165.00 108.90

Disclaimer----

The above information was recieved from U-Turn, a rogue outfit that continually trashes the AWA mec. It could be total mis-information but they claim to have reliable sources so take it with a grain of salt.

I don't know Grog,

We have always had industry bottom wages and if the past two arbitrations are a reflection of the effectiveness of this MEC/NC then i wouldn't be surprised in the least if that was our contract opener.

Then why did you post them if you think the information isn't legit. And if you're so in love with Southwest's payrates, have you given any thought to working there ? I'm sure they would love to have you.

PHXFLYR:cool:

So after 9 yrs grp 3 fo's weill still be making less than a second year ups fo. COOOOOOl

Too early to get po'd about it. Just vote no when the time comes.

All I can say is...

God, did Dad pick a good time to take early retirement, or WHAT?

That sucks. Big time.

Exactly how many aircraft TOTAL will you have at Group 2 rates counting UAir and AWA combined? How many total pilots? Trying to figure out what % of the pilot group will even EVER SEE Group 2 rates or higher...?

If that's the moon, God help your MEC when they "settle".... :(

Not many of us will EVER see group 2 let alone group 1

Isn't it a pity that we can't get the editor of U-Turn (uncle fester) to have a nice hot cup of the beverage our buddy M80drvr is serving??
