hey guys. i am still working hard on finishing my degree. Has anyone heard recently of anyone getting called without it ??

There is no trick to getting called. Blind luck seemingly. Upper level guys have said their req's getting only interviews, not jobs.... FWIW

That was pretty much always the case, the recommendations would make it your job to lose if you wanted to screw up the interview. Unless your last name rhymes with Mewley and Daddy is conducting the interview.

Maybe AA will be making the calls after that.

They are busy getting ready to hire 200 over there they don't need to take on the 300 joining the East by the end of 2013.

it'll be at least a year till the HR depts are merged - 24 months to a single certificate.

But code sharing starts at POR, which may mean that we could see route alignments that will lower staffing requirements at AA and/or LCC sooner than expected.

Perhaps, however they can't even TALK about it until the POR ends the SEC mandated 'quiet period'

besides, why publically commit to hiring 500 pilots in the next 6 months if that's even remotely possible?
