The interview groups for this week will be the last one until late summer according to the recruiting agency.
Maybe AA will be making the calls after that.
hey guys. i am still working hard on finishing my degree. Has anyone heard recently of anyone getting called without it ??
There is no trick to getting called. Blind luck seemingly. Upper level guys have said their req's getting only interviews, not jobs.... FWIW
Maybe AA will be making the calls after that.
They are busy getting ready to hire 200 over there they don't need to take on the 300 joining the East by the end of 2013.
it'll be at least a year till the HR depts are merged - 24 months to a single certificate.
Perhaps, however they can't even TALK about it until the POR ends the SEC mandated 'quiet period'
besides, why publically commit to hiring 500 pilots in the next 6 months if that's even remotely possible?
Code share from day one is spelled out in the MOU, it may not take long for changes to be made in the first week.
Where are you puling these numbers from? 300 by years end, with half the year gone? I doubt it.They are busy getting ready to hire 200 over there they don't need to take on the 300 joining the East by the end of 2013.

There is lots of stuff that they are keeping behind closed doors after the por date stuff will move fast and the changes will be massive. New temporary bases and things like thag.
The MOU limits domestic codesharing to 15%, excluding HA and AS carveouts.
LCC already does a fair amount of domestic code-sharing with United. That goes away along with the Star Alliance. Is the net change more or less code-sharing? Honest question.
Edit: looks like US Airways operates 1,320 mainline flights per day/ 1,895 express flights. and according to this article, has 540 United Codeshares. Not sure exactly how the 15% is calculated but it would seem to be exceeded already.

I think we'd see realigned pairing construction within the first few months. West and East do a fair amount of flying for each other, but imagine how much flying West/East will do for AA and visa versa.
I wonder if the first step will be the elimination of the East/West fences in regards to aircraft and maybe bases. In the latest CQT course 3/Fleet update there was a 15 slide presentation of the East/West A320 differences.
