UPS newhires to ANC MD-11 F/O soon

Someone said $45500/year? I thought the TA was going to be $33000 first year no matter what equipment or seat? What gives at ANC?

Fine, but if I get hired on to the 727 panel and then jump to the right seat of the -11 how does that apply? I agree you'd have company ops down but still little to no int'l or heavy experience. I don't think Canada or Mexico counts. Is the MD-11 that difficult to fly?

You would still have to learn the international ops in addition to the MD. I think the intent with preference to heavy/glass/international is because they want to staff a new and growing international domicile and would prefer to hire people directly into it who already have a lot of international experience. Nothing to do with ability to fly and learn something new, but more to do with getting the ops up and running in a quick and timely manner.
