ups just announced future planning for FY06.
scs will get bigger and bigger so there is a need for more contractors.
Ups authorizes all contractors to start new hire classes immediatly and purchase more aircraft for menlo, china and all future expansion.
There will be atleast 4 more vacancy bid announced by ups for future contractors.
The net increase will be.
Ups crew = 0
Ups aircraft = 0
We will be rewarding our crew members with the industry leadng contract they deserve as long as we can stay competetive and will not undermining our subcontracting policy.

WHAT ABOUT THE LEATHER JACKETS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Contract and scope

How's the contract going? Thought UPS was in the final stages before a strike. Also, is there going to be anything in the contract about scope?

Wow, I thought you guys were hiring. Which contractors are hiring now?

TOLD YOU 410DUDE!!! Get your facts straight, contractors are here to stay. Oh yea, what about that crap you claimed about 30 day notices being sent out to the outstation contractors?? UPS is trying to keep competitive, the only way to do that is to keep costs down, ie - cheap labor!! PEACE!

The NMB put UPS and the IPA in an indefinite recess at the end of June. The IPA membership is currently taking a vote to request release from mediation. Results will be announced on 8/31.

Scope, along with compensation, retirement, healthcare, and scheduling have yet to be resolved. In other words, a lot of work still needs to be done.

The picture is clear now

Know this situation all too well. Nothing is going to get done until the pilots get released, threaten to strike, and nothing will get done until the last hour.

Let's see who's the one laughing and who's the one crying come the end of December! I KNOW you will be the one crying to find a new contract!!!! OBTW, you contractors would make a better impression with some freshly laundered pilot shirts according to UPS management!!!!
