From the latest update. Looks like there's an interview/hiring pause for the summer then it will be re-examined depending on when SLI is done and the take rate of LUAL furloughs accepting recalls.
June 2013
The new pilot selection system is running smoothly with the help of line pilots who are integral to the process. A vacant area at the Denver Flight Training Center was recently reconfigured to accommodate the pilot selection process, and the area houses two new classrooms for our new and returning pilots. Between March and May of this year, 104 furloughed pilots accepted recall to the L-UAL seniority list and we've hired 134 new pilots to the L-CAL seniority list. We'll continue interviewing through the end of June to fill B737 and B756 classes scheduled in Houston through August. These classes also remain available to furloughed L-UAL pilots who volunteer for them.

Although we are likely to resume screening applicants later in the summer, it's difficult to predict exactly when we'll offer class dates to successful candidates. This may depend on how many of our furloughed pilots accept recall after the seniority lists are integrated. We'll keep you updated as the picture gets clearer and we appreciate all of the support and enthusiasm from our pilots.

Some of us get to do both, and would like to see squadronmates get hired.

I think that is great, as long as nepotism doesn't take over in the hiring department. Example- Hr department looks at hiring interviewers and says WOW, look at the retired F-16 AF academy grad/Former regional chief pilot. Then goes on to say he is the best person to put in a hiring position. So what follows???? The whole internal nepotism thing happens. So having a balance is key to having the best pilot group. I have always been a civy pilot, but have learned a lot from my military bros and vice and versa. We are all equal the day we arrive to the Majors. No pilot is better than the other.:)

I was told "about 100".

as of yesterday, strait from the source, 49 people in the pool. They are looking to hire more but they are waiting on the SLI to finish (hopefully by September 15th) then they expect to really ramp up hiring, unless all LUAL guys come back...and thats highly doubtful.

Classes scheduled to run through aug 27th will depend on number of furloughed pilots filling remaining slots. I expect classes to take a pause and pick back up late fall.
