The union vote right now is critical, it is the only thing we have left. Obviously, our parent company could care less about us and don't get me started on the lying, fear mongering Fred. We need to vote this in ASAP, do not allow management the time to organize a defense.
Union or no union, know that we're going to everything we can to protect our 495 furloughed brothers and sisters. Not trying to be a dick, just sayin'. Anyone here would hopefully do the same thing if the tables were turned.
The issue Flex pilots face is that without a union, the current company management team will represent their interests in the case of a merger or acquisition.
What do you think will win out - the interests of the pilots or the need to close a major sale of aircraft?
If still rather have the Teamsters representing me than Flexjet management.
I like the "cheaper" part myself. The smart owners know that you always get what you pay for.
Sad to see the people at flex still do not have a union. Me and two others mailed out union cards back in 2000 when I worked there. We tried our best to educate the koolies of the need a long time ago. Best of luck!
Those 495 know they were sacrificed to protect the contract and all those senior pilots.
Everybody needs to remember something about B-19 and the majority of all airline management,
They have contracts with their employers,
But he is against the employee having a contract

Since when do you speak for me? And where do you get off thinking you know what I or the other 481 furloughees think?
That's some nerve B19. I've watched your ramblings for some time but have never chimed in. I've allowed you the right the speak your mind at will. However, do not assume that you speak for me or even remotely think you know how I feel.

Don't take the troll's bait. Put him on "ignore" and be done with it. You'll never convince him of anything and he'll never sway you and it's not like his posts are interesting or even funny so why bother even reading them?
Dooker, You are 100% correct.
I let this {censored} bother me, when I am much better than that and expect to hold myself to a much higher regard.

Flexjet has been around for 15 years, and I've been with them for 10+
years. Bombardier(owner of Flexjet) has had unionized workers for
many decades, so if Flexjet votes a union in, it won't be that big a
deal. What will be affected is our ability to compete, estrangement
from management, and inevetible decline as the "union mentality"
takes over the pilot group and we lose the need to give our customers
our best 'cause the union "has our back". If there is a need for a
union at Flex, by all means vote one in. But every Flex pilot that
visits this board knows that the company treats them fairly and that
it's a great place to work(it's not perfect by any means..show me a business that is). And if you want to see what out-of-control unions have done to our children and competitiveness, just turn on your TV or visit your local public school.
