Anyone have any idea what equipment and domicles are being awarded to people returning? Also, any thougths on how many may potentially be recalled next year?
 
Only guy I know who took the recall in the last 6 months got the Bus in SFO.

That's what he was furloughed out of, so it seems like the most junior position now.

(I'm not a United guy, so I'm just going on what I hear).
 
Sounds like at least 300 or so to be recalled from what I hear--also, what aircraft are based in JFK these days for UAL?
 
At least 300 to be recalled in 2006, Forte said a min of 20 per month, so far a June 99 bubba just go tthe call.

JFK has a 767 Base and I think the A320 is there also, but not sure since I have been furloughed since 2003.
 
Anyone know with the current work rules at UAL if lineholders are able to drop down to a min line value of 60 hours? Or is everyone forced to work 80+hours a month?

Last I knew SEA was a domicile for the 737, 757/767, and 777. This was current as of the winter of '03.

Recall Question

Question....

When UAL recalls, do you go back on the pay for the year that you left?

I heard the X years of furlough don't count. If you left on 2nd year, you return on 2nd year....not 7th

Is that right??
 
Not my understanding

I think you accrue pay seniority, but not retirement seniority. I remember that from a LEC meeting a couple of years back. If you look at the new pay rates years do not have the same multiplying factor that they had before CH11.

I could be wrong, that was in the contract before, but how much of that has held up.

How's the flying

So what do your buddies on the line say wide-body flying is like at UAL these days? 767 pairings good or ball-breaking? 777 flying still just a few int'l trips a month and that's it??

I met a pilot on line that just got recalled yesterday. He said it came about about 2 months earlier than his earliest estimation. Apparently, UAL is blowing through the list, and more and more folks are bypassing (as did this guy). When I find out his hire date, I'll post it.
 
Congrats guys. Great to see another legacy recalling. Realistically -- or using crystal balls -- how soon before UAL goes through the entire list and has to resurrect the dreaded scantron?
 
A good friend of mine is an 11/99 DOH furloughee off of DEN 733 F/O, but, he's playing in the sandbox right now..

He still never expects to wear his UAL uniform again, but he's also looking at FDX.
