Typewriter for SWA?

Hand wrote every one in ink. Despite the "unproffesional" look I still got hired.

Ditto for me. Didn't even think about typing them. Don't think anyone even batted an eye in the PD.

Hand written is just fine

I called SWA's current Manager of Pilot Hiring about this very issue a few weeks before my interview (18 months ago). He said not to waste the time typing it. If your handwriting sucks, get someone else to do it neatly but they do not care about having them typed. They just want to be able to read it!

Oh yea...off probation yesterday ;-)

hand-wrote mine also. if you don't get hired, it was because of you, not whether or not you typed your packet.
