for a program initiated to reduce the turn over rate it sure as hell looks like its going to accelerate it. Perhaps they need to re think this one

Is it a raise at all? Did you get a week schedule option back?

i'm wondering the same thing...from the other thread, it seems they are doing a daily rate and therefore no salary. It sounds horrible for anyone who is not a 20 something cfi out of school.

Besides the 15/13 schedule, I was told that they were going to bring back the 8/6 schedule for those that want it but there was going to be a 10K/y reduction in pay. They also were bringing in a 15/13 Flex along with the captains reserve, but there was no guarantee in pay or nothing.

All vacation was taken away and they were going to give 2 days sick and 5 bonus days (whatever that is) but the accrual didn't start till today. It was said that some 20 pilots were going to get the letters yesterday telling them so long, but I have not gotten any confirmation on that. It also sounded like they went to some kind of merit system so it didn't matter how long you have been with them, it all depended on how well you kissed management ars to get better pay. I forgot to ask about benefits but hearing all the other stuff, I am sure those will be cut as well.

What was once a good company to work for sounds like it turned into a real management screw.

Your best revenge.....

......is to Screw them right Back, leave, get your buddies to leave, and drive their Turnover Costs through the roof.

They are counting on their Pilots not having the balls to pick up their tools, and find a new job site.

If you don't, they Win. Its that simple.

Anyone that stays there beyond 6 months from now, assuming today starts their job search, deserves everything they are being given.

As I've said before, the place is not worth a fight for a union and a contract; its not a career destination.

The best revenge will be to find another job, even if its not a better one.

A lateral move can certainly be justified to any future employer with just a copy of the emails that were sent out downgrading you from a salaried employee, to a day laborer.

Good Luck Guys

i'm really sorry to hear this is happening there. I thought it used to be a decent place. Is it corporate greed? now that things are picking up-they want more of the profits? Or is it that they think the pilots don't have anywhere to go so they can treat them any way they want?

If the numbers/data is correct, TMC even makes the regionals look good. 15 days on the road in a row (how can you do that with a family?) for $40-50K as an FO on a Beechjet does not sound appealing - regardless of your open domicile policy. That's too bad because I looked at applying to TMC a few years back when the schedule was more manageable (8/6). I'd love to hear management's spin on this one...

The truth hurts. Yeah, I'd say a pilot exodus is in order.

TMC is a hole!! there are sooooo manny of us looking to leave them now! Turnover will be crazy. SHEN, SWIS, and queer C.P. DEMM can stick their day pay where the sun dont shine... No pilots, no job for them either!
Beginning of the end for this half a** place.

Good luck to the Professional Pilots

I have a neighbor who flies for Delta Private Jets (was Delta Air Elite) and she was talking how management wants a similar pay rate program based on how many days you work AND based on the revenue you produce. Guys and girls, remember you control the log book!!
I'm just saying

With all the consolidation that has occurred in the industry, it would not surprise me as a former TMC pilot if SWIS and SHEN are preparing the company to merge with Delta Private Jets. Right before I left we were each doing alot of brokered charter work for each other. Good luck working for Seagraves V 2.0.....not.

Truly a shame, because the pilots at TMC are some of the best and most professional group I have ever flown with. I feel fortunate to get out when I did.

Guys are ready to leave for just about anything at this point. As far as those training contracts go, as soon as they changed the terms of employment (for the worse) from salary to day-rate, they voided all of those training contracts.
