I wonder how much money was wasted by hiring Jan. Feb. and Mar. classes, furloughing in July and a full recall in early August with less than 10 people coming back?

The Captains are aware about the low timers as well as the Check Airmen. I have heard personally that the training department will NOT push through the new pilots.

To the new guys coming onboard.......take the suggestions Captains give you - it will help you now and years down the road. And for God's sake don't try to quote the SOP to any of the Captains.......lol Keep your head low with all the GoJet negativity - remember you are probationary. After a year and a day - another story. ;)

Keep an open mind and you will have a blast.............the people here are some of the best to work with !!

Listen to Shrek... He knows...

Fly Safe, Fly the contract and learn while you're here

Any truth to the rumor that Chq, Skywest, Mesa, etc are filing a lawsuit against Trans States for not training pilots fast enough for them?

oh, and if you get asked on your checkride if you ever do a "cruise check" for Christ's sake man say "yes sir, all the time!" :D :D :D

LMAO ... How are ya been man? ;)

Trans States, for all of its faults, is a great opportunity for guys with low time right now. Just expect a tough but fair training program. Above info is mostly accurate. Go to the website Transssates.net for all the info. Probably disregaurd the hiring mins. Right now they do have at least 2 classes with many low time guys (300-600 hrs). The first bunch are just now starting or finishing sim. There have been an unusually high number of failures, however, because these guys have not been prepared for their oral exams. We have ALPA volunteers to help prep canidates for orals and checkrides. I'm not sure if these resources are being used. It would be an excellent idea. They will visit you in groundshcool and hand out contact info. Every place has its bad eggs, but generally great people to work with (not counting mgmt of course!). We are in contract negotiations, in line to becoming a cass member, switching to a pref bid sytem, and have a very high attrition rate.
