Haha...Well played sir, well played!

Ya, that's a rough one for the kids, although I doubt they are to upset about missing school...until it comes time to make the days up!

I'm envious of anyone who's cut the dock lines. But, seriously. A Catalina?? Perhaps I'm just a traditionalist. But then, I still have a cubby just for my sextant.

Front,

Appears to be a Catalina 400. Good choice! The CY470 will be my next boat.

I'm a fan of the Catalina as well. Real beamy and well thought out design.
I'd like to be in the "bow thruster" range of purchasing.

Here's a 470 4-sale.

This thread should be moved to the front of the line, from time to time!

Nothing wrong with CY's. The 3-digit boats (320/380/400/470 etc) were/are built in FL at the old Morgan plant (CY bought Morgan in the early 90's) and are more stout than the traditional CYs built in CA. Just look at the standing rigging and method its attached to the hull on a xxx-series boat compared to an xx boat. Big difference (the 42 is an exception). Yeah, I'd love an Oyster, Najad, or a Swan, but until I win the Lotto a CY is actually do-able.
