I quit NJ to fly for Air Somali out of Auburn, ME. They got some nice new BE-99's (202BH and 207BH) and fly all over trying to relocate em to bring more and more diversity to Maine. It's a top notch operation. The planes are well maintained and are restocked with turmites as they all hold hands together to keep the ship from falling apart. Either that or get a new wing spar.

Yeah...and I heard Uncle Al had the 99's retro fitted with lavs for the high ranking Somali elders.....granted its a box of sand but that should make them feel right at home.

Only thing he was not to happy about was the union rep they met during their indoc. Thought he was a bit abrassive.

So he quit the job because one union rep he met, out of a company of over 2600 unionized pilots, was abrasive? I'm sorry, but there has to be more to the story than that.

He moved to Hawaii with his wife. He would have stayed with Netjets had he been homebased.

Well, there you go; he wanted to move to Hawaii. He could not have been home based in Hawaii with NJA, even if he had gotten home basing.

His wife agreed on moving to Hawaii but was not going to go to CMH and then being alone for a week at a time. This, by the way, is what keeps me away as well.

Not to be blunt, but why the hell did he take the job, then, knowing full well that where he was going to be based wasn't workable? It's not like an airline, where you don't know. The domicile is part of the initial job offer; I waited many months to interview because I wanted to be based in Florida. I hope he hadn't already wasted simulator training, at least.

I guess I'll have to wait untill someone figures out that it is probally a lot cheaper to have someone fly from Atlanta or Charlotte than from CMH.

Yep, exactly. I'm not sure why they're holding onto this "bargaining chip" until contract time -- we all know it's costing them money, and I'm not willing to give up a thing we already have to get home basing.

GR common we know you just fuel the planes. Now run off and let the big boys talk the talk. By the way our favorite rep says hi.

My original post stands, old*art claims he is in his 8th year and less than 50 have quit in front of him. Im in the middle of my 8th year and have had over 100....... Somethings wrong there.

Do you Guys think we should all be filling out Waste management reports on This? If you think about it, look how much money they are wasting away giving FREE types to all! This is only gonna hurt us in the next round!
