Do you fly Rubber Dog $hit out of Hong Kong? You might have thought you did if you were fortunate enough to spend some time in the ORD crew room today.

I wonder if you have your own callsign, for when you fly your CRJ, perhaps you put patches on your windbreaker....and yes they still get worn.

Do you dream of Tom Cruise and the man that came to be known as Dr. Green as they face the evil Iceman and Holleywood in a game of sweaty volleyball?

Your TOP GUN ringer has got to go, Mr. Mesa FO tough guy. You may carry the DVD in your backpack. You may also have the soundtrack in your Ipod. Hey, for all we care, you can spike your hair like Val Kilmer, but lay off the cologne, and lose the ringer.....

-I feel the need, the need, FOR SPEED!!!

So now the wrong ringtone is considered unprofessional?

I don't recall saying anything about being unprofessional. If anything, since we are on the subject, I would assume my post to be more unprofessional then the actual ringtone, that was left to blare for the whole room to revel in.

I believe it was Iceman and Slider.

No, just funny.

I don't think he said anything about professionalism.

My bad, normally anything that mentions backpacks or spiked hair leads to a 5 page discussion on looking professional.

I can see we are all haveing a wonderful Saturday night.

there is being ERAU gay then there is THAT guy with the Topgun ring tone and the matching Raybans. Apparently he took the "french shower" as well. Waay Too funny. I guess it would be something for Conan O'Brian's "if they made it" An ERAU and UND got together and wham! Kenny Loggin bastard child.

I have the Top Gun ring tone set for some of my friends, but its a joke. More of a "your a dork" thing than anything else. Listen, unless you know this FO you can't pass judgment on him. Are you really so insecure with yourself that you feel the need to go on the internet and talk down about someone that you don't even know. You showed how mature you are simply by talking about "ring tones" and how they offend you. Come on, grow up. We all know Top Gun is a junk movie, and the fact that you think that someone actually takes is seriously concerns me. Have you considered professional help?

Unprofessional slob! Somebody take that man's name down for the list of ALPA defaulters!

That was a video clip from a MESA training video that was posted here about 6 months ago. He was dressed like that to portray "what not to do." The video was very over the edge, and presented common sense type stuff. Very funny, because it was so bad. I have a friend that went to mesa on the Dash and upgraded in something like 6 months. He now claims that to be making 48k a year on first year pay. If this is true I think we can no longer talk smack about Mesa, if its not true my friend is drinking the cool-aid. I don't see his pay stubs, so I will never know.

We shall make the reply short.

Yes I know him.
No, I'm not so sure that I was, reread, take lightly, get back to me.
My maturity should not be in question, the post was not in any way meant to reflect my level of maturity, which some days, is lower than a two year old.
I have very little intention of fully growing up any time soon.
No professional help yet.
Chill dude.....for serious.

Okay well maybe I took your post seriously when it was intended as a joke. I just get so tired of pilots not sticking up for each other. We are all in this crazy career together. For once I would like to read a thread about how professional a particular pilot is/was and have the reasons listed instead of reading thread after thread about things like ring tones. Sorry if I came on a little strong.
