I am convinced that this site has now been overrun by chest-thumping union goons. If you think a union is the way to go, GREAT. But you'd think that after the last few years of ALPA having their colllective a$$es handed to them you'd be a little less mouthy.

My 2 cents.

I found the perfect organization for you .....just in case you hadn't signed up yet.

UnionFacts.com, a new anti-union front group, this week launched an aggressive assault on unions that includes a new website filled with distortions and misleading "facts." It is believed the group will soon launch a new round of misleading advertising.
According to a communiqué from the AFL-CIO, the campaign is "clearly bankrolled by business interests threatened by workers' efforts to roll back corporate power." An anonymous source told the AFL-CIO the campaign was championed at a chamber of commerce meeting last month as an $8 million a year effort.
The AFL-CIO says Unionfacts.com is a project of The Center for Union Facts, which is run by Richard Berman of Berman and Company. The company specializes in discrediting organizations that are a threat to certain business interests. Berman has attacked Mothers Against Drunk Driving on behalf of the alcohol industry and represented the tobacco lobby against the Centers for Disease Control. In the early 1990s, Berman was tied by House Ethics Committee reports to Newt Gingrich's PAC, GOPAC. In the 1970s, Berman was labor law director of the Chamber of Commerce.

And I the perfect for you...N.A.M.B.L.A.

As far as I know this is how it used to be. On the application there used to be a box where you put your earliest available date. Obviously everyone puts a date in the future (I would presume). As time marches on and the app is not updated, that earliest available date comes and goes, and is now in the past. Every couple of months Dean would roll the big barrell of bingo balls and if the date on your app is in the past THE COMPUTER CANNOT SELECT YOU. So to give yourself the best chance you have to continue to update to keep that date in the future. I understand that you may have updated 6 months ago and you are just getting a call. Maybe he rolled the bingo balls 6 months ago and you are just getting a call...I dunno. As far as the accuracy of my post, if I am totally whacked or this has changed maybe one of my peers could set me straight. Cheers.

Bluejuice,

I didn't have a clue what that was so I did a quick search. Pretty disturbing that you knew what it was. I'm sickened by what you have learned from your late night internet surfing into the world of the lowest form of scum. Is this how you add to a debate? Sad.

Most know this but thought it worth mentioning that flying the 190 is voluntary. Nobody gets assigned the 190 unless they request it.

I would hope a company as dynamic as Jetblue would assign aircraft based on the needs of the company and not the needs of the individual. The former will insure the shareholder is being looked after first.

I mean, what if NO one chooses the 190...who's gonna fly 'em????

Many new hires have bypassed Bus classes to wait for a 190 class.

WOW....No $hit?

One day those folks will likely wish they had a slightly earlier date-of-hire.

This is a VERY predictable business. Hard to believe someone would actually give up seniority.

Well, good for them.

as well as SKYW and Mesa for other airlines.

I'd appreciate it if you would refrain from putting us in the same sentence as Mesa. I officially offended....that's a 1ST on Flightinfo or should I say www.pilotswhohatepilots.com !

HAHAHAHA!!!!!

DISCLAIMER: Jested All in good fun of course
