I used to have a volkswagen van and i was told by a cop to take the sticker off. It said "Don't laugh, your daughter is probably in here."

Why do "Christians" think they get a pass at forcing their religion on other people, but then point at the other religions who do the same as being wrong? Why does every Christian have to be a amateur evangelist?

They don't...and if you were referring to my post, you obviously missed the smiley at the end of it. Too bad Flightinfo doesn't have a SARCASM tag...

If you don't want to have religious debates, don't wear a Jesus lanyard in public. It's that simple. And if you do, then don't tell me or others what our religion should be.
The original poster was wearing a lanyard that said, only and simply, "I LOVE JESUS". It didn't say "Love Jesus or burn in Hell" or "Christianity is the ONLY way". All the subby was doing was showing his/her opinion; wasn't forcing it on anybody, wasn't telling you or others what your religion should be.

We're not interested in your opinions. Don't get upset when we politely tell you to piss off.
The person that started this thread didn't offer their opinion to any particular person, but they sure got an opinion from somebody who disagreed with them, didn't they?

You have no right not to be offended because someone is simply showing their preference via a sticker or lanyard for any given religion or sexuality or political party or whatever. If you are, you're only making my point about conditional tolerance...and that goes for religious or agnostic, conservative or liberal, etc.

You make good points, but I was mostly directing my ire at the posters talking down about Muslims. I felt compelled to point out that not all terrorists are Muslims and not all Muslims are terrorists.

Intolerance serves nobody but Satan. Think about that.

I just spit coffee all over my keyboard. That's funny, I don't care who you are.

Agreed on all points!

(although a "Mohammad is the Bomb!" lanyard would be funny if A LOT politically incorrect)

If it had been a black,or a pilot of middle eastern decent, with an Islamic related slogan, no one WOULD HAVE DARED to make a remark.

It's ok to bash white Christians, it's not OK to bash a religion that might actually want to hurt us.

This is all the more reason not to talk to the live stock. If a pax has asked "they let you wear that", not knowing what she was talking about, I would have just smiled and walked away.

Perfect example of the prejudice I'm talking about. Ironic that you use such a prejudice to decry percieved prejudice toward yourself.

Religions don't want to hurt people. Individuals want to hurt people.

Let me put your asinine statement in your terms: True or False, all gun owners want to kill people?

Excellent statement. Unless they're asking an appropriate question at an appropriate time (e.g. "where is gate C-xx"?) I usually give them a stupid look and walk away.

After reading some of these posts all I can say is... wow.

Religious extremism scares me... whether it's Islamic fudamentalist Terrorists bombing the WTC and bridges in Iraq, or Christian fundamentalist Terrorists bombing abortion clinics. Yet the latter is acceptable because it's in the name of Christ.

Why do "Christians" think they get a pass at forcing their religion on other people, but then point at the other religions who do the same as being wrong? Why does every Christian have to be a amateur evangelist?

Especially on a supposedly aviation related website. Go to one of the millions of religious sites for this crap.

Sounds like somebody needs Jesus.

More like somebody needs some BBQ? What about BBQ? How come we never talk about BBQ anymore? What about an "I Love BBQ" lanyard? I'd wear one of those.

The guys at XJet could have an "I Love Meetball Subs" Lanyard.

At ASA, I have an "I Love Contract Negotiations" Lanyard.
