I have some sad news, ....

I know of at least 5 senior guys who would vote for the pay cut. As we were all talking in the crew lounge they tried to convince me that they have no where to go and they have kids in college etc....,

what hurt me the most when they said that all the guys who are voting against the pay cut are getting furloughed and don't care about sending this airline to BK.

I just about had enough with the idiots we have in this outfit.

Boo hoo, I have one in college also. No way in hell would I vote for anything less than the average of AirTran and the new NWA rates and status quo on everything else.

"I have kids in college, I have a big mortgage, I have country club dues, I have boat payments........" It never ends from the select senior guys. They act like junior guys have no financial obligations. I've even heard, "Oh, your young, you can start over"

All excuses to be a big whore, and sell themselves out. They have no problems letting the junior fall off the radar. I've seen twice the senior pilots there vote down health care coverage for furloughees. Now, when it's their necks on the line the attitude is "we have to do something". I have started over , 4 times! It sucks, but at least I can look in the mirror and know I never voted for, or accepted a piece of stinking dog crap agreement handed down by inept/greedy management.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for everything! I truly wish the best for the pilots at Midwest. It makes me sick to see what Tim is trying to ram rod there. I'd biatch slap any pilot who even entertained the idea of accepting this insult of an agreement.

Midwest and Air Tran will take more cuts before this is done...Mark my words.....

AirTran hasn't taken any cuts, you stupid putz, and we won't, either . . . . We're already overworked and underpaid.

Perhaps you should get some accurate info, instead of pillow talk from your flight attendant boyfriend.

Don't mind Short Bus. He's just trying to compensate for his inferiority complex. "The man" has been keeping him down for too long.

I hope this place goes down. let the gummers( not all of them are old) see what it is like to be junior. some of those clowns have been 20 or more years in the left seat. let them feel the pain.if those guys/girls accept those payrates, the entire industry is screwed.

...you didn't pay up on the last bet we had....but once again....a beer says Air Tran takes concessions before this is done.....

You didn't win the last bet we had. But yes, I'll take that bet. Not one dime from our payrates. I guarantee it.

First....PNCL didn't beat Skywest rates on the 900....Second....It may not be rates....but there will be concessions made in some way....

The bet was that the rates wouldn't be lower. They are equal, so you didn't win the bet, Short Bus.

Trying to define "concessions" without using the payrates as a benchmark is difficult. Things that one group would view as concessions would be viewed as improvements by others. For example, we have some pilots that want to see PBS implemented here. I, on the other hand, view PBS to be a concession and want nothing to do with it. Same with "virtual domiciles" and other issues.
