End state of Pinnacle will be 81 CRJ900's. All 140 200's will leave between summer 2013 and early 2015. The 40 New 900's begin arriving next fall.

The big question is how do you get a majority of the 2400 pilots to ratify something that will eliminate all but around 1000 jobs?

A flow to an airline that is now saying no hiring til at least 2014... too little to late, Carl. That does those being cut no good. And considering how Delta burned the Mesaba group once, why should that part of the list bother to belive them this time? What will keep Delta from pulling the flow just like last time?

You can always turn down the flow like many senior Mesaba guys did. Talk about a mistake! The Compass guys and 108(?) Mesaba guys got class dates with no interview or medical/psych. And some Mesaba guys turned it down? Wow...

When the upward movement does start, it won't stop for years. Btw, there may be some flow in late 2013.... 88 717s (starting in Aug 2013) will add 1000 jobs, and then retirements will eventually add more. Or, you can stay disgruntled...

Was the 4 year college degree required for flow-throughs? If they didn't have the 4 year degree were they prevented from flowing up ?

81 planes. So a 1000 pilots end state? Of the current 2,400 pilots, 1400 stand to lose their jobs altogether between now and end 2014. So if the 1400 are going to be unemployed anyway, why vote yes? I don't see the incentive to vote yes for these 1400. These guys already have a timeframe for their last day. Why not full pay to the last day, because only about a 1000 pilots will have jobs left.

A flow? No delta hiring in 2013. And once the hiring starts, Compass gets the first dibs on a certain percent of a class date. Asides from the original Mesaba flow, anyone else would be a loong time to flow.

I think they were allowed. Not certain, though. I think they were just offered a class, with no interview to ask about college. It was a great deal. One Compass Capt was a previous DL Capt that took the early out lump sum retirement before the BK. Now he gets to go back again.
