Where'd the AAI sick time thread go?
I deleted it and warned the OP.

It was an AirTran thread about AirTran pilots and an illegal job action. Discussion of illegal job actions is against the ToS.

I'm not moderating the AAI/SWA threads, and he's a good guy, but NO ONE on the AirTran side is going to be allowed to talk illegal job actions so long as I'm a mod here.

Can you also remove all threads with reference to marijuana. Every one with the phrase "what you been smoking", "I don't know what you're smoking", etc... Drugs are not legal!

No. Gary sounds like Gary. If you knew him, which you don't, you'd understand exactly what he is saying. He's cementing the deal with the DOJ.

Hey Tranny bro's? Did you hear that? OYS says "our" airline sucks. You gonna let him get away with that? ;)

I've had a second chance too. It started the moment I realized I couldn't control the SLI and that Airtran pilots were just a bunch of guys who happened to be in the right spot at the right time. In the end WN will live long and prosper but in the short term I have no doubt someone from BOTH airlines will be disappointed with the SLI. I choose for that to not be me.

Gup

Hey on your six--
You really miss the fight of that F-15 don't you? It's ok- I was an athlete- I
used to miss that high you get dunking on someone or getting jacked over the middle and still hanging onto the football-
I'd imagine Fteens are a similar or bigger high-
I remember it was tough losing that competitive outlet-
Having that kept me much mellower in regular life and I got more intense when it wasn't there- and then I grew up.

But hey - I do have a question- if you flew that f15 for our country and a big part of america is capitalism- why do you sound so socialistic? You remind me of the mob boss in American gangster who didn't like Frank's prices.

SWA pilots may not have always been the highest paid- but they were paid well in comparison to society- esp w: profit sharing which you're apparently ignoring- never sold out their brothers (ie b scales and scope)(though age 65 was inching down that road recently) and they've always been the happiest. Some people value that. I do. A lot. Which is why I'm not so wrapped up in the SLI. Both sides are well represented- my opinion, for the 1/7500th that it's worth was made clear- so it's easy to let it go.

Besides- I hope the legacies find their way back to being the prom queen- but I'd rather sleep with the actual starlet, not the old lady going through black
and white pics reminiscing about her beautiful glory days

Good luck with that extra testosterone. I've found that ********************ing is a much better outlet for it than flightinfo... But that's me

10 year AirTran pilot $155/hr

10 year Southwest pilot $144/hr

Go to arbitration immediately! No " Southwest Seat Grab"

Seriously?!? You’re comparing SWA 10yr FO rates to AAI 10yr CAPT rates?? Now I’m just an outsider looking in, but how is this going to help your “career expectations” argument??

I’m sure fences will be put up to prevent “Southwest Seat Grab” like in any other merger. You should be more concerned with getting SWA pay while you’re behind that fence…

It just seams like some of you guys are trying to burn your lottery ticket before you can cash it in.

We (dal/nwa) missed a great opportunity to "take it back" during our joint contract. One side was trying to use what they felt was leverage on the SLI by signing off on a LOA. They felt it would pressure the other side into a SLI that they preferred. Went to arbitration anyway, and we ended up with something less. Again, up until the ch11 contracts our 737Ng and for that matter the lowly DC9 payrates(hell, the wb fo rates were better that your capt. rates) were way better, workrules, pension, insurance etc. You guys have been at the top for a very short time, after being an anchor for years. Good for ya! I hope y'all can hold or improve what you have got. It will give us much more leverage going forward. As far as scope, you guys beat us there hands down. However I don't think it has anything to do with swapa, more with a management that chose not to follow the heard. Any group that would buy their types for an interview, clean cabins etc would have bent over backwards for an extra 50K/year to relax scope. Be thankful that your management was not that stooopid.

So going forward, when are YOU gonna "take it back?" When are YOU going to get YOUR 737NG rates above ours? When are YOU going to get the RJ genie back into his bottle of SCOPE?

They are too busy on the PFT thing.

The first part was not my quote, just the PFT line. My reference to scopeoutRJ's and his old rant. Good to see he is over that. Cheers.

Wave,

First of all, I never said SWA sucked. Re-read my original post. I said I thought my new airline was better, but that is just my opinion. I never said anything wrong about yours. And I have flown a lot of nice planes, but I was also furloughed, and have had a rough few years. I have flown Worldwide corporate until recently, and now I am happy with my new job. Sorry if I don't sound jaded. Your rant above almost reads like you were drunk when you wrote it. And no, no extra testosterone for me. I am just happy with my situation. I hope you will be too someday.

Yes, I'm over it, the moderators asked me politely to stop it. Why? Because they were tired of people like you telling on guys like me.
Cheers.
