That's not going to happen. Can't replace the income at this equivalent longevity and I think you know that. It's really a ridiculous thing to say in this profession.

Just got back from vacation and I don't think I've ever seen this pilot group this p*ssed off.

It is neither reasonable nor fair to ask what you're asking (for us to just shut up and "be happy"). To expect that in this situation is actually quite absurd to everyone on the outside looking in and to repeatedly tell people to "get over it" only exacerbates the situation.

If Southwest Management is unwilling to do something to take the sting out of changing the basis of the SIA, then the only thing that will heal this is time. Telling people to "get over it" or "go work somewhere else" is really counter-productive and only serves to anger everyone.

Get over it.

flyinguy I wasn't whining. I am a happy pilot. Even my therapist and psychiatrist say I'm happy. The subject to change is just as if a SW pilot is barley hanging on to a future DEN base and has been planning on it for several months, then sees the day before making the move an email states a re-bid occurred and a bunch of senior Citrus CA are going there.

I am still trying to figure out why you are whining to other pilots. If you are really ticked about what is going on, then get your group together and go picket GK and the GO!! Go do something about it!!! Coming on here and getting po'ed at other pilots does no good and will get you no where. Who do you think forced this marriage? Who held the "gun" to your head? SWAPA? SWAPA pilots? NO....it was GK. So take your anger and put it where it belongs.

I feel for you guys that are getting a raw deal. Guess what? Many on the SWAPA side feel the same way so complaining to us about your pain does not produce a lot of sympathy.

We all have a choices in life. Putting our lists together was not one of our choices, but how we treat each other is our choice. So happy flying and hopefully we will all find our "inner peace" over this shotgun wedding.

It wasn't Gary or the GO that released an email gloating over the gains in 737A slots to the detriment of the AAI pilots, that was SWAPA, refer back to first post......

Easy thing to say for a guy who never had to strike or walk a picket line. Things were just handed to you at SW. You never had to fight for anything in your entire civilian career. Every time you guys open your mouths, it becomes more and more obvious, you guys are really are living in your own little world over there. This resentment is going to last for decades. Get used to hearing about it. It ain't going away any time soon.

Swa or AT side. I hope everybody can move on. Can any one post the SIA on here about the 717 ATL domicile or any other thing states the 717 was going to stay. I thought there was something else that states otherwise. I forgot.

He's has walked a picket line. Remember last summer? A couple hunderd of them marched in front of DAL corp HQ in support of the further screwing of AT pilots.

Gotta love the fact that the SWA guys are saying on here, "we stuck it to you, you're lucky to be here so get over it" and then they turn around and say "welcome brothers, we are all one now!"

I have always welcomed my AT brothers with open arms. But your anger is misdirected. I'd be pissed in your situation too but the crap you are spewing is not helping your cause. Be angry but make sure its at the right people. The rest of us just work here. Really!
