The current contract allows this: RJ codesharing only in those two intra-island locations you describe. The proposed side letter tightens our scope clause significantly, and prohibits this. In this sideletter, Southwest may only codeshare with Volaris by name, to reduced ASMs (2% instead of the current 4%), only to Mexico, and only with full-sized jets. The voting is going on now.

Hope this helps,
Bubba

Ok, I understand now, thanks.

Ok, I understand now, thanks.

We did just get an email tonight about an MOU to be included in our side letter 14 which fixes some of the concerns about our average daily guarantee and red-eyes we are voting on right now. It agrees to keep our ADG across a pairing and a 15% override for red-eyes and some other stuff....

SWA Bubba, I'm afraid you are wrong. Our new SL12 and SL14 do NOT prohibit intra island codeshare fn Hawaii or the Caribbean. Sorry to burst your bubble. That was another thing that slipped by the NC. Don't believe me, ask one of them.
