You can forget about AirTran if what he said will hold in their search.

They want a company in bankruptcy reorganization... not happening at AirTran anytime soon, record profits this year and next unless oil does something stupid again, in which case, we're ALL screwed.

They want a company that's all 737's. I don't know of one out there, do you?

Of course, their recent actions with Frontier would suggest that one of those criteria is obviously waivable, so maybe both are? Who knows... Not even going to go there with a SLI battle over something that's unlikely to happen. Do I wish it would? Sure. Do I think it will? No.

Sun Country...in bankruptcy, 737 fleet, routes to Mexico/Carribean, extra gates in MSP, and soon to have ETOPS!

Hadn't thought about that one... muy interesante...

Maybe some hope for the Sun Country guys and gals. Whatever happened to their 727's they were running?

The law will not allow a staple, which is a SWAPA requisite, and no airline pilot group is going to willingly wave their seniority rights. A bankruptcy judge might, but that seems less likely than in the past.

If Southwest had bought USAir, and succeeded in stapling their pilots, it's possible that Sully might have been relegated to the right seat with a relatively much less experienced pilot in his place.

Dude relatively much less? What are you saying that only Sully can ditch an airplane? You need experience to do that?
