This just in...SWA to hire 450+ for 2008 with 380+ currently in the pool. Interviews may start again in the spring. Classes to begin 1st of the year.

Spoke with the chiefs the other day.

Was called today and asked to get another drug test as they said they have a 6-month duration. Said they wanted to be ready in case of classes in January. Said they did not know for sure if there were going to be any classes in January, but thought there was a good chance they would have at least one early in the month.

A positive sign all in all.

Got my call for the drug test today...same with another buddy of mine. Same word...prepping for possible classes early next year, but nothing definite yet. PD would need to have firm word by early Dec to start their notification activities.

Got the word from PD that I am 9 classes away with a 7-7-07 pool date. I shouldn't slide one way or the other because I am in the middle of the group of 20 that would make up the 9th class after things start up again.

GFunk--5/22 OR 5/23?? I was told 3-5 classes w/ a 5/25. PD does not want to be pinned down "promising" a certain class to anyone.

I'm assuming the worst, and hoping to be pleasantly surprised w/good news.

Spoke w/ PD on Friday and they said probably February if they start out the year like they did last year, and March if they run a bit slower. They have no news on the pace as of yet. Interviewed 6/14 with the type.
