Hey poolies,

I spoke to 2 chf pilots this past week, both told me that there would be 3 classes in Jan with 24 in each class. I was in the last class of 2007, so I hope you guys all get onboard- now.

I hope this is accurate, for they have no reason to give me bad info. So, the phone calls offering classdates should be coming soon.

Thanks for the info. I hope it turns out to be true. I am starting to go crazy with the wait. I've been unemployed from the AF for 2 months and I'm ready to get started. I should be in the 2nd class, so mid January would great!

Calls for classes go out a month in advance so maybe the first week of Dec for the first class???

I hope that is true! Some calls next month for classes will make a lot of our holidays a lot more special...

Just talked to Matt in PD, they still don't have the schedule for 08. They should have it next week. I guess his boss (whoever that is) is putting a lot of pressure on the flight department to give them the schedule for next year.

Just talked to PD today as well and was told I'm on the cusp between being in the 2nd and 3rd classes. I'm #12 on our pool list here so hopefully others can figure out where they might stand.

I can also confirm what obadie said as I was told they hope to know more next week about January and they are hoping for 3 classes.

Hey all,

I received an email from the people department today. It stated that they are getting ready to start classes again in the first quarter of 08, and they needed to know if all of your info was the same since the time that you interviewed. Basically, they need to know if you have had any other civilian jobs, since the interview that need to be added to your pre-employment packet.

Hope this means things are about to rock and or roll!!

Got same email here. I was told by PD that they need 3-4 weeks minimum to get all notifications and training class packages mailed. With the holidays coming up, they won't have much time to waste.

Notifications need to start soon, or classes may a bit later. I'm hoping for the former.

Got a phone call yesterday from a buddy at SWA and the rumor in the training department is what's already be posted here, 3 classes of 24 new hires in Jan. Also, there are unfilled FO positions in MDW. Maybe everyone won't end up in OAK. Of course, I don't care I'm based!!!!!

Sounds like OAK is not necessarily automatic anymore. A buddy of mine based out of PHX says that a couple of new hires got PHX for their domicile in NOV. I think things may need to shake out a bit w/LAS before we can be sure.

Don't get your hopes up of getting an east domicile quickly. I was in a June class trying to get BWI as my domicile. Finally got BWI for December (stops in OAK, LAS, and PHX), but I will be displaced back to PHX for January. I hope there are 3 classes in January as I'm assuming I won't get back to BWI until you guys get done with your IOEs! By the way, it's a good job even with the x-country commute.
