OK, so is there any chance that there are more calls to make? Vegas odds?

I've heard this was one of the biggest DB's in a long time as far as the number of guys in it. If there WERE 2 days worth of calls to make, and today being a holiday, there may be more calls going out Friday.

Don't give up until you get the letter.

Best of luck!

Thanks, but I need to know for sure.;)

This board is starting to sound like every other month. Most call have probably gone out and letters can take up to two weeks to be recieved. If you haven't received a letter that's a good thing. However each day you don't get a phone call means the letter is more likely to be on the way.

Put it this way...

At least if I get the letter, I didn't have to pay for the type.

I got a friend that got the type, the interview a month later, and the letter 2 weeks after the DB. That really su..ks!

Or what about those out there putting all their "eggs" in one basket (SWA). SWA is a great company but the % they hire vs. the people they interview is very low.

But, if you had the tpye, that may have made the difference. You will never know. Just keep pushing, you will get where you are meant to be eventually.

I think the CP offices are closed until monday. I would gues the remainder of calls will go out then. Don't give up they are not done with the calls..

Good luck to all. Hired well over 500 this year. Will hire 500 in '07 for 37 planes and 130 retirements. Year 1 - Turkey Day and Christmas off.

Based on my observations from the sidelines of three friends who interviewed at SWA, the type/no-type does not play a factor during the "Did he pass the interview" question.

But who knows. Maybe Kit Darby

For those that do get the letter. There is no way any airline can hire, train, and OE, 500 to 600 guys every year. Somewhere along the pipeline things are going to get jammed up and the hiring is going to have to slow. So if you didn't get it this year be sure and jump right on it as soon as you qualify, you may find that you really didn't loose that many numbers in the percentage of the whole. Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes it is the tree of life. Hang in there it will be worth it.

Sorry, no info.

I know a couple guys that got the call last week. I hope you all get the call you seek.

I've tried twice and want another try. I've seen the letter you fear, and it's enough to make a grown man cry.

Seriously, though...

To all who get the letter: Don't stop your life for it, but keep trying when you can. I know it is worth it.

To all who got or will get the call: Don't forget the little guys who helped get you there. Before you leave for the big time, make a list of the pilots you know who you would want to fly with again. Those who go the extra mile for their crew, their pax, and their company. Keep them in mind and help them when it's their turn to sweat in a blue suit.

Good luck.

I know of at least one call as well that went out today. Don't give up the faith!

Calls did go out today!!

Looking forward to adding a little "cajun seasoning" to the mix!!!

See you guys soon!!

Keep the chins up still! I haven't gotten the call (yet) however calls are still happening today. Friend twice removed was called this a.m. by Orlando CP. There is still hope, I think....

Got the call tonight at 7pm EST from the HR department.
Interviewed on the 9th.
No type prior to interview, but got the type prior to the DB.
Last name begins with F.
Living in the midwest.

Don't give up hope.

2 guys in my interview group got the call yesterday while others in our group got the call last week. Who knows how they do it, just be glad we got the call. Hopefully others will get the call today. Anyone have an idea how many got the call total. I have it think 6 from my interview group. Try to add up so we can see how many actually get versus interview.

I'll start - 6 out of 20 got the call

No letters so far.

Hey RedDog, there where 21 of us on 26Nov. Not including the guy who showed up at 9am for an 8am interview. His excuse was that his watch was on East Coast Time. (But wouldn't that've meant that he would have been there at 7?)

Anyway, good luck to all. It ain't over till it's over.
